I purchased two sets of Power Stop 17-1348, Z17 Rear Ceramic Brake Pads with Hardware for two different VW CC 2.0T's. While everything about the pads were as expected, and generally good, the hardware kit(s) is for some other vehicle.The two kits were purchased 6 months apart, so they are from different batches, and confirms this is not a one off error, or mistake. So, if you need the hardware kit for any of the VW CC line, get another pad set, not this one.The clips in this kit are very large, and there is no way to make them work. I was forced to clean up the old clips and reuse them. There some wear to clips over their life, and they should be replaced. But I think I will be ok, I just swapped them top to bottom and clean them well with brake clean. But they wont be used again on next set of pads. My suspicion is, this kit was first designed for another VW, and is a perfect match for that vehicle. The marketing dept saw the dimensions of the pad for the CC being the same, and assumed the slide clips were the same, and then approved the kit as CC part as well, when it isnt exactly the same.

They are a good value. They appear good quality. As well, they are the soft backing pad to reduce chatter too (so may, may not grease the backs - your choice - I did, little bit).When doing the "conditioning", after install; the 30mph to 10mph - 30x's gentle stops, only felt a slight pedal pulse/chatter first couple of breaking's; then, smooth.They appear as - well made and if up to OEM spec will hold up. The OEM pads (of course based on use, etc.) are holding up great. So, I'll see later on to compare if this "caught up" to the minimally worn others.However then, why the 2-stars? - Well, the Clips are not for my vehicle - rather a much wider spacing, buy a lot.Moreover, I *reordered them (solo, not as a "kit" w/Rotors) - hoping was a mistake - no; these did not fit my vehicle and was specified by the Amazon "fitment" app which is typically pretty spot on for things in the past. - However, the Pads, side by side, match up and clipped right into the old clips which I *had to then reuse - could not wait again. I noticed in another brand the clips in the photo were noticeably and proportionately "smaller" (correct size per the photo, if can really tell). So, it's in the Caliper Gap (center that allows space for the rotor that gets bridged - way to wide a space).I really hated to have to take the time to clean and reuse the old ones - reversing them for the Forward Clip to take the greater pressure this time. The other one showed that wear and rub - so, no reusing them next time!I wish, since did a "repair" (not a usual brake job) - to one side and could order a single Rotor for my vehicle that the pads came in per/wheel pairs too since "repairs" to one side are not uncommon. The other side pads had minimal wear - no braking issue. One can accumulate these sets of "one" left over quick, as that goes - total waste imo to then toss them or just replace the other side and toss those (not counting the labor to do that).I hope the OEM or vendor see this and checks the Fitment as "fits" - not my 2014 VW Tiguan (the Clips, all else okay). So, again, to be clear, the "Kit" AND the Pads ordered alone, *only are wrong on the Clips. The "kit" looks simply as two rotors and pads picked and boxed - such as kits got with generic multi-use parts for many different Models, etc.I hope that helps someone (in a time sensitive project - folks need their cars back asap!).So, to be clear - great value. But if needed the Clips - one would have had to order e.g., the Bendix Kit or purchased the Clips separately - if are even able to do so (?). (That kills the "good deal" pricing which is why I was buying "here".)

The hardware that goes between the pad and bracket was different from what was required, about 75% wider. I had to reuse the old hardware which increases the time required for installation considerably.

Do not fit 2018 Tiguan. I had to return them and buy the correct part from local parts store.
