I have used power pro lines for approx. 6 years now. I do a lot of fishing with many rods. With several different test strengths, from 20lb - 80lb I have not found the need to try other lines in the past 6 years.

Picked it up for a new reel I am going to use for pike and musky. Seems to hold up well.

Power pro has to the best line out there. Ive tried many different name brands, store brands and end up back here. This line never lets me down. Never tangles. Never backlashes. Never snapped on me. Just the best line there is.

I have used 5 or so different braids. PowerPro is the best brand in my experience for cast distance, strength, not getting tangled. This Super 8 Slick kicks it to the next level. Fish a lot of clear/low tannin water. used to have to tie a leader, now this matches the silty bottom. Can't recommend enough. The other night wind took a brand new lure into a living tree and this line (and the knot) allowed me to do some landscaping pulling it down without snapping.

This stuff is awesome! I wrangle in 10+ footers all season long without changing it out. Check out the Christian Adventure Network if you'd like to see what nonprofit we support or go to Saving Heroes Outdoors to watch our adventures.

I use this line for bead weaving and it's very sturdy as long as you don't use too much at once or have to frog something. Too many passes through the beads make the line shred, so you have to use short lengths. It doesn't break, but the fibers fray while staying whole if that makes sense.I bought it to blend with black beads since my go-to line, Spiderwire EZ Braid in moss green, doesn't blend well with black beads. This Onyx color looks great with all my black and various near black beads, so I consider this a successful, if imperfect, purchase. The shredding is annoying but I will continue to experiment with thread lengths to see how much I can use while avoiding this issue.

This is my go to line now. I primarily fish from a kayak so anything heavier isn’t needed since you get pulled around anyway. For those unaware this is an 8 strand braid, hence the S8 in the name. It’s also probably the smoothest braid I’ve found yet is still a nice soft line. It casts a mile and takes a knot better than other brands I’ve tried. It does fade a bit, into a dark grey, after use but that’s the only negative I have for it. When I tested all 3 rolls I have I got an average breaking strength at the knot of 28lbs, this is 20lb line punching way above its class. Like any braid though make sure to check the line every now and then when fishing around hard cover. It will wear faster than mono or fluro but you can always tie on a leader.
