Decent for the price, but the plywood choice is a bit prone to splintering depending on your luck with the grain at the edges. Also, they put a massive 5mm radius on the grip edge... so the 5mm edge is useless as it's all radius. That also makes the 10mm edge only a 5mm edge with a huge radius, etc. We only need like 1-2mm edge radius at most guys. Otherwise the depths are accurate.I have a few different products like this, some that are twice the size with twice as many grip types... yet this one is heavier. For at-home use not a problem but for carrying out to the crag this thing is over 10oz EACH (with the cord). They have some star-shaped protrusion on the back that looks like it's supposed to nest inside of another product they sell to do pullups or something with, but that makes zero sense for finger training and it's just extra material, cost and weight we don't need. I'm going to saw that back plane off, then this might make sense to bring to the crag.

This wooden hangboard is a solid training tool for climbers. The wood feels sturdy and well-made, and the variety of holds provides a good range of options for different grip strengths and training goals. It's definitely helped me improve my finger strength and overall grip. I appreciate that it's suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, giving me flexibility in my training. My only minor gripe is that the included mounting hardware could be a bit higher quality, and the finish on the wood, while nice, could be a little smoother. Overall, it's a great hangboard for climbers looking to improve their strength, offering good value and versatility.

These are great for hobbyist climbers! The 5mm grip is an insane challenge.

Works well thoughtful construction! These practice holds are super fun! I wanted to get something fun that would help build some finger strength and these are perfect. A lot of people talk about how it’s tough to use one hand to utilize these types of tools but I think this works great. It’s particularly useful for practicing simple crimping holds attached to kettlebells. I think the advertising for using these on pull up bars is okay but I have a tough time hanging from these on the actual bar since there’s a good amount of sway. That being said the construction is smooth and it comes with some sandpaper to refine each hold. The climbing rope is pretty standard and holds well up to at least 70 pounds (extent that I’ve tested it)

Cheap online hangboard from a no-name company? Seems sketchy, but nope. It's high quality real wood and real abrasion-resistant climbing-grade rope with a pretty decent job on burning the ends. Product pics on the listing include instructions for the correct knot (which you should know anyway if climbing). It doesn't hold your hands in the straight position used by a traditional single-piece hangboard, which is good or bad depending on perspective. You can get more strength and hang time with palms facing together instead of outward, and good for practicing climbing on an outside edge.I actually ran both pieces through a single length of rope through a loop on my pull up bar with a double overhand knot as the anchor on each side. My hang time sucks but practicing moving from palms-together to palms-out position. Feeling the burn in chest and traps as well as forearms, not bad. Overall I'm liking this way more than expected, especially for the price.

These came quickly, packaged well and as described. They come with two pieces of rope for you to tie loops to hang them. I tied a double fisherman’s knot for each and they feel very secure. The one thing I find less ideal about these is they come with sandpaper and there are some rough patches on the wood, especially where your fingertips sit against the inside. For the price though, doing some sanding isn’t a big deal. These are definitely portable and easy to hang, at my house they’re on our pull-up bar. In the long term I’m hoping they will help me build finger strength.

This is a nice small package for having various different sized lips to hang on. The issue is that it is made from plywood, although a very high quality plywood. The problem with plywood is that they are splinters from where they carved out each lip. It does come with a piece of sand paper to sand it down and I did so to make the edges all smooth. It feels like it will last and stay smooth for years but it does come out of the box with a bunch of splinters that need to be sanded down.

I’ve been woodworking for 30 years, used CNCs, lasers, etc in recent years too. The quality and care put into this product is second to none. All the depths were accurate and there wasn’t a single splinter or rough spot on the entire surface. But they included a little piece of sandpaper just in case. I’m not light at 220lbs and was able to use these with an extra 12lbs attached without feeling any give or flex.My only con and I can’t really knock the rating for it is the ropes weren’t already tied. I fully understand why they did this for multiple reasons and the listing includes directions for tying the ropes, just wish it was something that came pre tied so I didn’t have to trust my knot tying skills and my grip.
