Rib bones are a must. Makes it easy to grab for hand plants and freestyle tricks. Makes rails so much easier. Preserves your deck especially when you have a flight deck that’s costs over 100 bucks. BUILT TO GRIND. Been using rails since the eighties and a personal preference to a little weight to the deck. Doesn’t affect the ability to do tricks either: EXTRA ATTENTION to the fact the flight decks should have the rails installed prior to grip if you can because the bolts will leave dimples on the top of your grip tape. Remedy is to buy a Dremel tool and get a sand disc. Get the bolts started into the wood then back them off and grind down the tips of the wood screw, then reinstall the screws. Perfect job every time. A little bit of work saves your deck and makes board slides way easier.

The rails were easy to install. The material that the rails are made from is plastic with a medium. If you are a boarder and do allot of rail tricks, the rails could breakdown in a relatively short time.

I run these on all my boards. Growing up in late 80's early 90's these were a main stay on my gigantic Powell and gator boards. I buy a set almost every time I put an Amazon order in. Lot of times they're back ordered on skate sights. However, they are readily available here on Amazon. I even run these on my boosted board to fly off curbs without destroying my deck.

I skated a lot in the 80's and I am happy that Powell/Peralta is still around. They made the best skateboards then, and are still making the best boards and components around. Social Skateboarding offered a great product at an unbeatable price. I am very satisfied with the product and the shipping. So I ordered another pair, and could only say the same about that order. Thank you!
