I just used this beacon in an avalanche rescue course. We spent all day buryingthe "victim" beacon and finding it with our beacons. This one performed the best out of all 6 in the class, most accurate arrow direction, fastest refresh rate. It led me right to the "victim" every time.I Iike it because it DOESNT have all those smart features. Some of them revert back to send mode if it doesn't sense movement for some time interval. The last thing I need in an emergency is trying to outsmart my beacon while its trying to outsmart me.This one is simple. There is a 3 way slide switch... Off, send, search. Simple, reliableWorks good, I hope I never have to use it for realzies.
