This seat is a good way to train your toddlers. The design gives them good space to hold while also making them feel secure on a standard fixture. I like it a lot!

Got this as a backup for my spare bathroom so I don't have to constantly move my toddlers favorite seat all over the house while potty training. The cushion is cheapy and you have to put it on yourself which is annoying. It's hard to clean in between the cushion and seat itself I like the handles and the guard on the front to stop him from peeing out onto the floor. The adjustable bars in the back make zero sense. I tried everything to make them functional to hold the seat on the toilet but nothing was working. I don't understand how to get this seat to stay put. It's too large to go over the regular seat but too small that it sometimes slips and falls in when you lift the seat and put it on the rim. The design isn't the best. It's alright as a backup but I wouldn't use it as my everyday one.

The most important thing, in my opinion, for a kid to be ready to go on the "big kid potty" is to feel comfortable sitting on the big toilet. I got this for my son, thinking that it would help him feel secure on a smaller seat, but the latches don't stay in place at all, so, as a result he is always afraid of falling off of the potty! Not a great start to potty training...

This works great for potty training. It just plops right down on the toilet seat, fits snugly. The opening is the right size, and the seat material is soft and comfortable. Not everyone likes having a spray guard on the front, but this one has it and I think it's better off with it. The seat removes as easily as it goes in, and it's easy to clean. It stores easily--it's not perfectly flat, so it takes up a little space, but not much, I just keep it off to the side of the bathroom leaning against a wall, and it's completely out of the way.

I am a mother of 4 and currently potty training my youngest who is 3. I've used many toilet training products, and therefore feel I am well qualified to weigh in on the attributed of this particular unit, and compare them to others on the market. We have one potty seat between the 2 bathrooms in our home, each on different floors, and as you can imagine, the potty seat often finds itself traveling between the two levels of our home...Also, it is frequently NOT where it is needed, much to the dismay of the person who needs to use the potty at times lol. I realized some time ago that a second potty seat wouldn't be a bad idea. My youngest son primarily uses a potty chair when at home, but his preschool has smaller "real toilets" meant for his age group, and I'd like him to start using the actual potty as well. He doesn't seem to be a fan of his brothers potty seat, which is quite basic, plastic and lightweight. I have high hopes for this seat as it visibly more sturdy and plush; it should be more comfortable and inspire more confidence transitioning to the "big boy potty". I like that the seat has a plush cushion. It is attached using simple adhesive Velcro, stuck on both the potty frame and underside of the plush seat before connecting the two. There are two handles that attach to a point on the underside of the seat, at the top where it is nearest to the back end of the toilet seat. At first glance, it didn't seem (functionally) necessary, and I brushed it aside, attempting to use it without this feature, as the other potty seats im familiar with do not have this additional piece. When I placed the potty seat onto my toilet, it would not lay flush with the toilet seat....weird angles were created, and would undoubtedly result in an unstable fit and experience for my toddler. I will have to go through the steps to attach the handles, and tighten the bolt once I find a good spot for the seat...the handles at the underside create a secure fit.....I will report back once I have done this and hopefully it is truly an adaptation to help the seat fit in many toilet.Aside from that initially catastrophe, I do like the other features of the potty seat. It is plush, and sturdy, made of durable material that doesn't necessarily feel lightweight. It also will be easy to clean, as the seat can be removed to clean pieces individually. There are useful handles on either side of the potty seat that add to the sturdy feeling and potty going experience.The unique and uncommon step of attaching the handles to the underside for a secure fit may be an off-putting and extra step for some parents. This step means that the seat is secure, and wont be easy to move, which is both a good and a potentially, bad thing. Good, for obvious reasons...Bad, because its will be hassle to remove for anyone who needs to use the toilet without the added seat. I don't have a designated toilet for my kiddos, everyone in the home needs to use the toilets available. Im committed to a learning curve, and hopefully it isn't a big deal to get the seat on and off once we use it a few times. These are reasons that would discourage me from purchasing this kind of seat again...there are regular seats like the one my oldest have that include more padding for comfort. Those seats don't have removable padding.
