I just received this yesterday and thought it was going to be such a great tool for integrating my new kitten with my older cat. He loves to pounce on her and drive her nuts, but when I introduced this toy they both became fascinated with pouncing on it instead of fighting with each other. Perfect! The problem is, it only intermittently works. We used it all afternoon yesterday, I charged it overnight, and now when I turn it on it only operates for a few minutes at a time and they quickly lose interest. Sometimes it turns off completely and does nothing. Other times it just sits in one place and incessantly makes a sound like it's coughing up a hairball. (That's one of its usual noises but I don't think it's supposed to just sit there doing it over and over.)My cats are very interested in playing with this, it just seems very glitchy.

The design is so clever. My cat spent a couple of weeks fixed to it and now every day he watches it and bats it a little. I am not sure if he or I enjoy it more since I have let it roam free out of the bag with its little occasional squeaks. However could someone have designed such a toy! I can't figure out how it manages to go under furniture, bump up against corners, yet get itself turned around or free so easily. Clearly, I am in love with it. Totally, unconditionally, recommend. The quality is top notch. The charge lasts a long time and it is easy to recharge.
