Thankfully my cat loves the super aggressive head and chin scratches but it probably should be advertised as a hard silicone or very stiff.

I would absolutely not use this for my cat. I unwrapped it to attach it to the doorway for my cat and it was so sharp I couldn’t even firmly press it into the doorway without getting poked. This is dangerous and definitely not for pets of any sort

I give this a 3 star due to its shape and size, I have it mounted on corner wall, it's odd shape it should be rounder, and it didn't come with catnip

I unboxed this durian scratcher not 5 mins ago and 2 of my cats are rubbing all over it! Now I need to quickly order more so all 3 kits have their own to love up on. It's very pointy but it's not sharp enough to cut anything, and it has a slight flexibility to it. The pointed edges are rounded enough. I wouldn't wanna step on it, mind you, but it works better than I expected for such a small price to pay.

The cats loved this right out of the package. I didn’t even mount it. I just set it on the rug. It’s been a week or two and they still love it. One of them doesn’t even want to share it. I saw a review where someone was concerned that the spikes were too sharp but my cats really like it like that. The points are not soft, they are hard plastic. My cats do not like rubber things that pull their hair they prefer hard plastic to rubber. I only wish that it was a hemisphere but I’ll probably just buy another one and stick them together.

I bought this for my older cat who doesn’t like toys but loves scratches. She took to using this pretty quickly and really got in there with her face/teeth. Attached easily to the wall without coming loose when in use. Has a spot for cat nip as well.

This cat self-groomer is shaped like a slice of durian. So fun, because I have not seen this before. The scratcher is pointy but I think the cats like this more. The set comes with 3 adhesives. One is clear and is not suppose to leave a residue I couldn't even get that to stick to the groomer. 2 of them are stronger but the triangle one was so difficult to apply to the groomer. My cats were not a fan of this but they aren't a fan of self groomers.

When I ordered this, I was under the impression it came with a packet of catnip or silvervine as the product name says "Cat Self Groomer with Catnip" and the product video states it comes with a catnip packet. I mention this because as of right now, my cat (Katty) is completely and totally ignoring this. Sadly, I'll have to order some catnip or silvervine separately first to find out if Katty will like it or not.On the other hand ... my dog (Miah) freakin' loves this. At first she thought it was a toy and kept trying to carry it off to play with, but once I attached it to the corner of a wall that both my dog and cat are always rubbing themselves on, Miah started rubbing on it, licking it, rubbing on it again, "bite" it trying to pull it off the wall, rub rub rub, yeah, she likes it a lot. Two hours later, she keeps going back to it and rubbing herself on it every few minutes.Note the yellow portion feels very stiff and firm but it does flex and bend some when used. The white plastic back is hard plastic and feels like a good quality plastic, not thin, brittle or easily cracked. This came with several double-sided precut tapes that fit perfectly on the back and attached firmly to my wall. So far, despite my dog Miah's best attempts, she has not succeeded in pulling it off the wall.
