I purchased this after a recommendation to help my paint-by-number canvas. This is perfect for painting over the numbers before using lighter-colored paints. Just a little dab over the number, and it prevents you from needing to do several coats of paint to hide them. The paint comes out of the pen easily, isn't watery, and covers very well. I will be purchasing more!

I had high hopes for this Posca pen based on the good reviews and seeing people rave about this brand online, but it was a huge disappointment. It took forever to get any product out, and when it finally did, the results were terrible. The ink was streaky, barely pigmented, and incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes nothing would come out at all, and I had to repeatedly push the pen, which was frustrating and messy. I’ve used the pen less than 10 times and it’s already drying out. I’m so disappointed and sad. Definitely not worth the hype or the money.

This pen needs to be stored vertically with the nib down. It stopped working after storing it horizontally. I soaked the nib in water for a few minutes. It worked for a moment and stopped. Then I stored it nib downwards in a canister. The next day, I shook it and primed it and it’s been working perfectly. I use it to add small details after I use ink and watercolor. This is much more reliable than my Uni-Ball white pens that stop working whether I store them vertically or horizontally. I was looking for a white to use for details on 140 lb cold pressed watercolor paper and this works very well over the textured paper.

In the vast sea of paint pens available, Posca is one of the brands that is always reliable.reasons:1. They ALWAYS work2. They cover3. They are high quality4. The color and tip size assortment5. They rarely flood or clogI have build up a sizable collection and replace as they run out. I use them mostly on wood and other brands can be terribly frustrating to use on unpainted wood. (Skipping, clogging, tips dying).I have also purchased cheaper sets…don’t do it!Buy quality paint pens, you won’t be sorry!
