Small sound generator. This this is pretty small. If you have seen those smaller bluetooth speakers, it reminds me a lot of those. It has several options for types of sounds. Sound levels are ok for me. I tend to use things like this across the room. That lets the sound kind of fill up the room versus right beside me. That way if I toss or turn at night I still get the same.

Having a white noise machine with me when I travel has become essential for getting a good night's sleep. I'm a heavy sleeper once I fall asleep but unfamiliar environments with unfamiliar sounds make it difficult for me to fall asleep. The first one I got was marketed as made for soothing babies to sleep. That was OK but when I gave the same one as a gift I sure got some strange looks. This little machine's packaging/instructions makes no mention of babies and I suspect will be better received as a gift to folks without babies. The nightlight feature on this one is GREAT and should lessen the chances of me knocking it off the nightstand in the dark. There's no list of the sounds in the instructions so you've got to scroll through them to find what you want - I like the outdoor sounds best. The maximum volume setting is really loud, unexpected from such a tiny machine. I also really like that there's a little loop that can be attached which I'm going to use to attach the machine to the handle of my toiletry bag so there'll be no chance that I'll accidently leave it behind - it is very small and could easily be overlooked. DO hang on to the instruction booklet because operating the button functions is in no way intuitive. But be warned that the font used for the instructions is very, very, very small - I had to take a photo of them and enlarge it, but that is my only very, very, very small complaint.

Coming from a house where everyone sleeps with white noise, we have quite the adventure packing up the noise machines and cords when we are headed out for a vacation or just for an overnight at a hotel. It's nice to not have to worry about that anymore with these FUN SIZE noise machines! The noises produced can be cranked super loud, and of course it's loaded up with nonsense sounds like lullabies and crickets, but the white noise and bedtime fan settings work just fine. The soft glow of the base light is just bright enough without being too disruptive, and can be completely shut off for those that want darkness. The battery lasted through an 8 hour sleeping session and the unit charged up quickly. The unit does function while plugged in/charging. The included lanyard makes it so you can hang the noise machine from a bedpost ot doorknob. These are available in a variety of pleasing colourways. The green pops as one of the best. I did not test the timer function of the noise machine, but its nice to have as an option. We are considering using these as our everyday noise machines as they take up very little space, and the noise fills the room just as well as a standard sized unit with a much larger speaker. For $17CDN (at time of writing, with Amazon click/clip coupon) you can't go wrong for this compact noise maker. Happy sleeping!

I tend to use this palm-sized rechargeable White Noise Machine ( see photo ) device to generate background sounds for relaxation, and distraction from other less-relaxing distant background sounds.The Machine offers a total of 16 different non-looping sounds; 4 Noise (brown, pink, fan x2), or 12 different Nature Sounds such as rain & thunderstorm, tiered waterfalls, ocean waves, birds chirping, crickets, wind chimes, campfire, piano lullaby x2, musical meditation, a soothing combination of music and nature sound ( my favourite), or music box.The 20Hz-20kHz 3 watt RMS speaker ( see photo for specifications ) is of respectable quality, the volume range offered by the 20 level control is very good, and can get quite loud if you wish.... although a bit of distortion sets in for some sounds at max volumes. Recharging with the included USB-A to USB-C cable takes roughly 45 minutes, and with sound alone can last up to a very-impressive 50 hours ( or 15 - 30 hours with both the sound and light features activated). The dynamic-breathing night-light function, ability to select from 4 timer settings, and memory function are welcome added bonuses. Highly recommended.

This Portable Sound Machine for Sleeping with Breathing/Night Light, currently offered by HOMEBEST, is a nifty little tool with surprisingly powerful sound! There are some really great features with this mini sound machine, and a couple issues I've found, so I'll lay them all out below.What I like:~ Super small footprint, which is great for travel and for tiny homes, offices & environments.~ Rechargeable, and charges quickly, with a long-lasting battery life of up to 30 hours, depending on whether or not I use the light. A USB-A to USB-C charging cord is included, and you must supply your own adaptor/power supply.~ Equipped with plenty of sounds & music to choose from, including white & brown noise, lullabies and nature sounds. I especially appreciate that most of them are non-looping and non-fade, which is necessary for uninterrupted sleep for me.~ I find the adjustable night light especially helpful for gently illuminating unfamiliar places during travel, and the breathing light for helping me to calm down and decompress during stressful times.~ The timer function is a great feature when I need to take a quick break, nap or meditate, with a choice between 30, 60 & 90 minute intervals, in addition to an infinity option for continuous play.~ I find this device to be very user-friendly, with easily-accessed controls that clearly depict their functions.A couple minor issues, and the reason for four stars:~ The charging indicator light is teensy as a pinhole and very dim. It's also located at the back of the machine, right next to the charging portal, which makes it even harder to see, unless you're looking directly at it at close proximity. While this device is tiny, I would think there's ample room for a larger, more visible indicator light.~ While there are multiple levels of sound volume, I find the lowest option is still a bit loud for some uses. For instance, I like to use the bird song option in the morning while doing yoga and meditation, and during the day while writing or reading. In these moments when gentle, quiet nature sounds are best for me, I find the lowest volume setting is still a bit too intense for achieving optimal focus.Other than those two minor issues, I find this lightweight Portable Sound Machine for Sleeping with Breathing/Night Light, currently offered by HOMEBEST to be a really great tool for relaxation, focus and better sleep! Its compact size and simple operation make it perfect for home, office or traveling, and feel it would also make a great gift. In face, I like it so much, I ordered two more: one for my military son who travels a lot, and another for our daughter who also travels and likes minimal clutter. And in January 2025, I used a generous coupon that applied to both! Definitely recommend!
