This thing is way cooler than expected. I make guitars, and wanted a simple tool for some of those inner curves without having to use the larger spindle sander. Works perfectly, but be careful, it works quicker than you might expect. Should have bought one of these years ago!

It's impossible to tighten the nut that secures the sanding sleeve without the sander being chucked into a drill. Once the unit is mounted into your unplugged drill, use a 1/2" open-end wrench to tighten the nut while securely holding the drill chuck to keep everything from spinning around.I do wish the mandrel was longer, which would allow me to use my existing spindle sander rubber sleeves, but it's about 1 1/2" too short for that.

I bought this thinking it would not work, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. I make Sam Maloof style chairs and this is the best for sanding the curved arms and especially the "arm pit", where the arm joins the back leg. Works great for this. Ball bearings keep it smooth and with my small Bosch drill, very powerful tool. Very worth the price.

I bought this instead of the “Buffy” from easy care for scufffing the sides of hooves to prep them for composite gluing. So if that’s what you are looking for, it will work, just not as well as theirs because it does not conform to the sides of the hoof like the one with an air bladder in the shaft.

Had to put the rollers in the freezer just to get on the sleeves or to take them off. Parts were all rusty when I opened the box very poor quality for the high price you pay. And I don't know how long it's going to last but I need it so I'm using it.

Purchased to sand my guitar sides and help shape necks. Thought I’d have a go and try this one which was at a good price point!Excellent results in the short few hours that I have tried it. Performance is excellent, Easy to use. I was a little nervous as it wasn’t as long as some of the more expensive ones but don’t worry. Sanded my 4.75 “ sides flat easily!I recommend this tool and for the money it’s a top buy !👍👍

Wasn’t expecting much but very impressive quality tool. Steel shaft, smooth bearings, held together with quality spring clips. Handle is obviously high-grade aluminum, not the plastic I expected. I use tools every day and pulled this out of the box, chucked it onto my Milwaukee, and went at it. The shaft and handle are perfectly straight, no wobble; but this is not a precision tool like a dedicated spindle sander, so best for roughing. Need to tighten the compression nut quite a bit to avoid the slippage others have described. Comes with 2 sizes of rubber bushings with two sandpaper rolls for each, 80 and 120 grit I think. For the price I would have liked a bag of some sort and a few more sandpaper options. Still, I like the tool, it is well made, a decent value, and I will use it occasionally.
