I bought one (transparent cover) as I couldn’t keep my smartphone away from myself before going to bed which frequently led me to watching YouTube shorts for hours. After getting this product, I locked my phone for the sleeping hours and it helped me so much with sleeping enough hours, getting up early in the morning. The quality of life has improved. I also used it for studying time. I can still answer calls if needed but kept me from watching YouTube shorts, which helped me alot. Please try it.

this product is the same product as idiskk's phone lock box with the only difference is they have a sticker with ysky's name over idiskk's name. its just cheaper from idiskk.

This is exactly what I was hoping for. The quality seems pretty nice. I wanted a lock box to help get me off my phone but I did want limited access for random things like calling, music or videos on YouTube. The holes do allow for some use but not enough that ill get stuck scrolling. I think this is a great product.

As someone who spends a significant amount of time writing pro-Trump propaganda from my phone, the "Portable Smart Auto Phone Timer Lock Box" has proven to be both a blessing and a curse. While it's designed to help with self-control and prevent excessive phone use, its effectiveness has been a major inconvenience for my work.The lock box does exactly what it promises. Once you set the timer and lock your phone inside, there’s no way to access it until the timer runs out. This level of control is great for people who want to limit their phone usage and focus on other tasks. The build quality is solid, and the timer function is straightforward to use.However, for someone like me who relies on frequent phone access to write and distribute content, this lock box has been more of a hindrance than a help. There have been multiple instances where I needed to post an urgent update or respond to a comment, only to find my phone securely locked away. The frustration of being unable to access my device at crucial moments has significantly impacted my productivity.Additionally, the lock box doesn’t offer any flexibility for adjusting the timer once it’s set. This rigidity means that if an unexpected situation arises, there’s no way to retrieve your phone until the timer expires. It’s effective, but perhaps too much so for those of us who need constant access to our devices for work purposes.In conclusion, the "Portable Smart Auto Phone Timer Lock Box" is a highly effective tool for reducing phone addiction and helping people focus. However, for anyone who requires frequent phone access for their job, particularly in fast-paced environments like political content creation, it may prove to be more of an obstacle than a solution. I had to buy this a second time because the driver delivered to the wrong address initially 😡.The product is really good. Sturdy, uncomplicated, locks tight, not hard to figure out and does the job. My teen son who has ADHD (poor impulse control) is still able to be on the phone talking with his friends without having access to social mediaall night long. I dont have the energy to have the "give me the phone" battle every night. I think that because the phone is still in his possession he feels good about the process. There is no hassle about locking it up and he wakes up rested and ready for school. I notice he is on the phone alot less during the day. His mood is better (probably because he is sleeping) and overall I'm embarrassed to need the device but not too proud to admit We needed the device.

People tend to chalk this item up for those who lack self discipline, but limiting your access to the phone actually frees up your self dislike reserve for more important things. The ability to lock your phone face down, where you can truly ignore it, or face up, granting some, albeit difficult, access, is perfect for me. The timer before locking is great as well, gives me a chance to realize i actually need to do one more thing first beforehand. I set up my Bluetooth headphones too so I can still take calls and play music through Siri, and having limited-use ICE access code prevents me from hacking into every time since I need to save those for emergencies. After two years, the plastic hinges broke from normal wear and tear, got a lot of use, and I will be buying this again because it is such a great product

The product itself is pretty decent, it does the job, but I have two major gripes:The battery is already terrible after owning this thing for 6 months. I have used it maybe 30 times, max. I also do not leave it plugged in all the time (this can kill lithium ion batteries faster). I need to plug it in now for it to even lock my phone.There is a lock bypass in case of emergencies. But, the problem is, it's a FUSE limited to 5 emergencies for life. That is really stupid overkill design if you ask me. Why not something like 20? I think that would still psychologically stop people from using it, knowing it was limited to 20 times. I understand some people will just use the bypass on a whim if they are not disciplined, but don't punish everyone else, that is bad design.If the battery did not die so quickly, my review would be a lot more forgiving, that is a big issue. Spend a little more money.

Does what I need. Lock the phone away when I need to go to sleep or grind away at work. The openings are great for allowing me to access the phone if absolutely needed, but it is cumbersome enough that it discourages mindless use.

I personally used this as a deterrent from me using my phone excessively, and to a degree it does work. The construction and build quality is not great; plastics are thin and it wouldn't take much force to break the thing open if one tried. It is however very easy to use, and seems to have good battery life in that I haven't needed to charge it since receiving it, which is impressive. It's a great way to take a break from devices, but only if you can be honest about it and not challenge the weak lock and structure of it.

Have been using this phone lock device for over a year and couldn't be more pleased. It's been a lifesaver in handling my SO's tendency to engage in inappropriate Facebook flirting with coworkers and past flames when he drinks a bit too much. The cost is a fraction of what you'd spend on therapy, and it works wonders. The timer lock feature is a fantastic, allowing us to set how long the phone should stay secure, which is extremely convenient. The design is smart too, with open access areas on the lock case. This means the phone can still be used for emergencies or necessary calls, but it effectively deters any attempts at texting.
