I mostly print shipping labels and it seems like no matter what, the ink jet printer is out of or low on ink, or needs an alignment, or something.... It's also the size of a piece of carry on luggage and I can't remember the last time i needed to scan or copy something. This is where this little printer shines. it easily fits in my desk or laptop case should I need it on the go and it always prints thanks to the thermal thing. Needing thermal paper is a small price to pay for the convenience of this size of printer. I've had no problem getting the sheets to feed correctly either .The print quality isn't amazing, but it's clear and legible and that's what's important to me.The one thing I'm not a fan of about this printer is that it requires an app download for printing from your device that everything that gets printed has to go through--it's not quite as simple as hitting 'print'. I can't get over how often I use this little printer, when I wasn't even sure I needed it. About the size of a desktop three-hole punch, and easily charged through my laptop when I connect it with the usb cord, it goes everywhere with me in my computer bag. The printing is thermal and you can use rolls or sheets of thermal paper. The rolls are easier to use because it stays loaded and fed, but then you have to tear off your page and it has a ragged edge and a curl to it. The pre-cut sheets take a lot of luck in loading through the paper slit without getting it started crooked. And if you are printing more than one sheet you had better be ready to load the next one and the next. Sort of like a desktop laminator works. The printed copies are strictly a convenience and you don't want to print your resume or wedding invitations on here, but overall, I don't know what I did without it.

I had long ago abandoned trying to maintain a home-office printer due to the persistent annoyance of constantly having to clean the print head or keep the ink carts filled. I've actually found it more cost effective to just go to my local "big box" office supply store and do my printing there. So when I saw "inkless printer" my ears perked up. This device promises to be somewhat useful around the home or mobile office for small print jobs, such as generating hard copies of diagnostic reports for equipment trouble. The device is not a fully "standalone" wireless printer, in the sense that I did need to install the proprietary app in order to start using it. Initial setup is really not difficult, and the app is reasonably simple to navigate.Once I'd gone through the setup process I was easily able to import a file and send it to the print queue. At the moment I only have the sheets of A4 paper that came with the printer, so I had to print my 2 page document one page at a time. I didn't really play around with the settings so I'm not sure yet if the print jobs will allow you to feed one sheet at a time manually in order to get the multi-page document printed off from a single queue. I'm assuming if I order a box of "perforated" A4 paper the continuous feed will allow for more of a "one click" print job. Make sure the shiny side of the paper is face down when you load the sheets. The app offers a number of settings including page size, print quality and margins. My test document printed satisfactorily using the default settings, though it definitely looked like something produced by a receipt printer rather than a big fancy inkjet. I suppose that's the tradeoff for convenience. The included USB flash drive is a driver disk. The instruction sheet calls for a download from the Rongta website to use the printer with a PC or Mac but you probably don't need to go online since the flash drive has the software. The drive is 500MB and the files don't take up a lot of space, so you can also use it for extra storage. The printer is wireless to connect to a phone but you need the included cable to hook it up to your computer. I didn't want to "waste" paper running a test job from my computer so I'll need to wait until I have something to print before I can comment on how well it works with my laptop.Battery life seems reasonable. I charged my printer on Christmas and let it sit. A month later, after the wireless setup process and a 2 page print job it was showing 97% power remaining. I suppose that's good, but this is my first experience with a portable wireless printer so I can't say I know quite where to set my expectations.Print output was impressively quick. Again, no basis for comparison with other similar devices, but definitely a noticeable improvement over "full-sized," "regular" printers. Another green checkmark for the convenience features.Build quality appears first-rate and inspires confidence.I'm glad I got this device, and I can see it becoming an invaluable problem-solver. This printer and the output quality will be a great choice for certain day to day printing tasks, but I don't see a device like this replacing a full-featured home or office printer. It doesn't print in color, and can offer only single-sided output. Still, for certain small jobs this will be an excellent option.

This is a really compact printer that works very well. Its battery powered, USB-C chargeable, and app both Bluetooth and Wifi connectible. The print jobs are lighting fast, and the pictures look pretty good for what it is. This is a thermal printer, and anyone who's ever delt with receipt printers will know, they're not for regular printing. Everything you print on this is susceptible to being destroyed by heat. The print jobs look ok because you can only use thermal paper. It comes with about 6 sheets of nice quality paper, but at the time of reviewing this 8 1/2 x 11 is a dime a sheet at its cheapest. The paper can't be left in a car or in a sunbeam or anywhere that might get warm for any reason. Like a wallet or purse. I got this for a very specific job, printing shipping labels. For that it's perfect, but I don't think I would rely on this for a "once every so often" printer or even a document printer if those documents are important. Highly recommended!
