I will give it 5 stars even though with this one you kinda of actually do have to make contact (put your mouth actually on it) for it to work properly. I don't mind though, I mention this because not all have this particular limitation. Solid and easy to hold, I have done my best not to drop it do I don't know if it would still work afterwards. The sound quality is fine and it is easy to turn the volume you are emitting up or down. I use this item on a large playground in order to avoid lifting my voice.

First off my apologies for the HH, but I purchased this because a loved one is hard of hearing, and they refuse to wear their hearing aids. And I got tired of yelling and repeating myself three and four times. They hate that I use this, but they can hear me much better. What I found worked was not to aim the end of the horn at them while speaking. The handle adjusts, so I bend the horn down and speak into it, and they are much more receptive. The battery lasts, but I'm afraid if I don't check it often the battery will do what batteries do! Erupt and leave a mess, so I have to check it frequently. I like it and it is very easy to use.

I bought this as a gag gift for my sister because her car horn doesn't work. Every now and again we joke with it. When you're on the speaking end of it, it doesn't sound very loud at all, you'd almost swear it wasn't working. When you're on the receiving end though, it's much louder. It also has this siren that is very loud and very startling.

The siren is fine -- and it LOOKS sharp (I got the blue one) -- but the "speak" part is useless. The microphone -- at least on mine -- is completely flaky. If you can hear anything at all, it's as if you're on a terrible phone connection. Defective. Too cheap to bother returning.
