Fair to say it takes a minute to read the documentation and get how it works, but once it’s understood it’s super easy to use and works very well. Voice activation to start would be great, as one has to take off boxing gloves.

I have used this timer for two months and it works well. It has several pre-programmed timings and there are also many choices to program the device yourself. The battery life is very good; I have only recharged it twice since purchase. There is a blue ring which gradually disappears as I work through to the full elapsed time, so I don't have to keep close watch on which rep I am on. Two things could be improved, however. The magnet could be stronger and the sound settings are poor. The choice between setting zero, no sound, and one, beeps too loud could use an intermediate level. I put some tape over the speaker to help mute the sound.

For my purposes I just needed a countdown timer as well as clock display. This item has far too many modes and options for simple applications. The adjustment buttons are too close together and it's easy to hit the wrong one. Has good magnet strength, nice display but a lot of Overkill regarding programming options.

I'm using this as a time code devise to sync multiple video cameras. I needed a micro second option to sync to camera frames. I did multiple search options to find this but nothing and there is nothing on the description page mentioning (ms) timer. So I just decided to take a chance and if necessary revert to seconds only. It turns out this is exactly what I needed with the ms option in the stop watch function. Other pluses were large numbers, red numbers for reading in low light, light weight and small to carry in the camera bag and rechargeable with a USB-C charging system and cable.Post purchase I found that there is a larger version for just $10 more that I might have bought but I'll see how this works out over a long distance and buy the bigger one if necessary.I highly recommend this clock for what ever your portable clock needs might be.

This timer is the most frustrating thing. First off things I like about it. 1. It's magnetic so that's pretty cool. 2. The display is nice. 3. It's compact. After that it's all downhill.1. Setting the time/date was insanely frustrating to figure out.2.Setting up your own timers is a freaking nightmare. Even now that I feel like I've got it down, it still messes up. I literally spend 10 minutes trying to get the timer to do what I need.3.Most of the time after thinking I've set the timer I made up I end up accidently deleting it.And God forbid you need to adjust 1 round, you end having to cycle all the way back through all your rounds to get to the one you wanted to adjust. And trust me, you will have to do this.4. Getting a timer to start doesn't use the "play" button like you think it would so you end up deleting your timer and having to reset the whole thing. You have to do a weird hold down of the W button which makes no sense.5. The battery life is very mid. Sometimes I get a few days sometimes a day.6. The voice is annoying and I can't get it to stop.7. The instructions are incredibly difficult to understand.For the price I didn't expect a whole lot but wish I had never bought this. If I could give this less stars I would.

Le largo es un poco más grande que un celular, tiene buen brillo y el sonido de la alarma es fuerte y agudo.La carga de los laps es perfecta aunque también se puede agregar intervalos manuales.Gracias a qué trae imán se puede pegar en cualquier base metálica pero no sé confíen se puede correr

EDIT: I'm so thrilled, I found a way to have only the beep, and omit the crazy creepy voice!!!! I thought my clients could just watch their own timer, and not have the sound, but after getting them conditioned for so long to the beep on the GymBoss, some of them still wanted the beep. FYI - Turning down / off the volume is not the same setting as omitting the voice. So I have 3... getting ready to order #4. Love this timer.Original Review:I own a gym & am a personal trainer. I’ve used GymBoss timers for 14 years; however in beginning to go to semi-private training, where I’m training 3 clients at the same time, I needed silent timers & ones they could easily see.For me, being portable, having a rechargeable battery, having the option for custom intervals, being able to set program it on the unit & not with a remote control, and to be able to turn off the sound were all dealbreakers!!! This timer checked off all those things for me!!I just got two programmed & will program the 3rd one tomorrow. I’m extremely happy with these timers!!!NOTE: For all the naysayers who are commenting that these are very difficult to program…. You’re wrong!!!I’m 55 & had no trouble at all. All you have to do is follow the instructions. If anyone has programmed a GymBoss you can definitely program this unit.

This workout timer seemed quite good when I first received it. As many have pointed out the ease of set up is not great. It is not at all intuitive, and you will definitely need to read the instructions in order to set the timers. And if you want to change the timer settings- you will need to re-read the instructions again as they are not at all intuitive or logical.My main issue is however the durability. The first few weeks it worked as expected, then the battery would die within 2 days, and I had to basically recharge it after every workout. After 2 months it would not even turn on again, even when plugged in and charging the timer will not turn on. So completely useless and a waste of money, in the garbage it goes. Do not buy.
