Our dryer went put on us and my son pulled it out and used it to dry his football uniform for tomorrow scrimmage game. It was awesome. It was our first time using it and it took about 3 hours to fully dry it. We hung it up and powered it on. We used the LO2 setting and set the timer for 3 hours and it was perfect. It's so easy to use and it's so quiet that you can barely even hear it powered on. This is truly a great portable dryer. It's going to be perfect for when we go rv'ing.

I ordered this for use in my RV and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. It's important to understand exactly what it is and what it can/cannot do. Essentially, it's like using an automated blow-dryer inside a garment bag. It's not going to be super powerful or fast drying your garments. You are not going to dry your bedding with this item. You are going to have a very long wait if you are drying your jeans, sweaters, or other heavy items with this dryer. This will not replace your standard clothes dryer. It is hot air-assisted line drying. The dryer is about the size of a shoe box, making it quite easy to store and tote around. I don't know that I'd use it for airline travel as it would take up suitcase space, but it's great for RV or car travel or for storing in a dorm or small apartment. To use, remove the bottom lid and unfold the nylon garment bag. Inside the bag, there's a pull down bar that has notches for up to 8 clothes hangers. A remote control is included. My first test was with 5 items: an athletic shirt, a pair of athletic shorts, a thin cotton long sleeve ladies t, a short sleeve ladies t with rhinestones, and a sports bra. I set the time for 60 minutes and the power for the highest setting (of 2). I used 2 wire hangers and 3 plastic hangers. At the end of my timer, the clothes were surprisingly dry. I had expected the cotton shirts might still be damp but they were much dryer than I expected. There were only a couple of cool, lightly damp spots at the bottom of the shirts. They would have been done pretty quickly with a bit more time in the dryer, but I just left them hanging on their own. The athletic gear was all completely dry. The rhinestone decorations on the ladies t were just fine and the plastic hangers held up with no melting.I got this for RV use to help dry small batches of laundry and to dry bathing suits, etc. I think I will also use this at home to speed up some drip-dry gentle items. I could definitely have made use of this back in my dorm or apartment days to help dry some items between big laundry days at a public laundry room.

I live in a apartment without washer/dryer hook-ups. I do have a small portable washer that I keep illegally and air-dry all my clothes. I keep my place cool, so it isn't unusual for my jeans or large bath towels to take a day to dry. I picked this up to help speed up the drying process when I need something sooner. As other reviewers have said, the instructions on this are super tiny. I decided to wing it without reading them because I don't have a magnifying glass. The device is extremely intuitive and within minutes I had a set of shirts going. In my first trial, I filled each of the hanger dents inside the device with just-washed shirts: three work shirts, three t-shirts and a lightweight hoodie. I set it to high and went on my way. I wasn't sure if I'd need to rotate the clothes, so I checked it after an hour. The clothes were all drying about the same rate, so I didn't rotate them. Checked again after another hour and could definitely see them drying from the top down. I estimated another two hours were necessary so I checked back at that point. The clothes were nearly completely dry - just a small band at the bottom was damp, but five of the hangers had melted downwards into triangles. Fortunately, they were velvet flocked, so my clothes were not damaged.I picked up some wooden hangers for my next test: the bath towel/sheet. I draped it over the hanger like a shawl and let it go for four hours. It was still slightly damp, so I gave it another couple of hours and it was perfectly dry. Now, anyone who has air-dried a bath towel knows that it can feel stiff. There was still a bit of stiffness in the towel fibers using this device, but it was MUCH better than the air dry. Soft towels again!I was concerned about the volume of the device after other reviews described it as a hair dryer. I hung it in the middle of one side of my walk-in closet (6 feet by 8 feet). Even on high, I wasn't able to hear it outside of the closet with the door open. So, it's very quiet - I'd be able to leave it on while sleeping in the same room, making it great for travel.Overall, very happy with the product. It isn't going to replace a dryer or my need to airdry most items, but it is definitely going to keep me from wearing damp jeans to work. (I removed one star because the instructions were so tiny. After the melted hanger situation, I tried reading them with my phone camera zoomed in and didn't see anything about not using plastic hangers.)
