I use this to connect my old 5.1" AC duct to my new AC with a 5.9" duct. I had to remove the existing connectors on the ends of the new and old ducts before attaching the adapter. Then I screwed the 2 ducts into the adapter. I've been running the AC all afternoon with no issues. The adapter stays connected and there is no air escaping from the adapter. Trust me, I'm not the least bit mechanically inclined but I got it to work just fine.

Super hard to connect 2 tubes together. Ending up keep falling apart

Great for adapting two hoses. The ring in the middle allows you to have something to hold onto, if the hoses are not cooperating. The ring is also helps to provide a guide for applying duct tape. It worked so well, I bought two (one for intake and one for exhaust.

This is advertised and the demensions show that it fits 2 sizes. This is not the case .This part almost seems to be sized for 2 but smaller on the large size. 5.9 hose is too large .

It's too tight to fit my ac tube over it and too big to fit inside it. Complete waste of time and money.
