Item won’t allow you to initialize, set up or download files,apps,data. Doesn’t allow you to manage the device just keeps showing as an fatal error, 500gb external Hard drive.

I bought this to save my backup files. Great for the price and files were copied relatively quickly with a high speed USB port.

All I can say is that mine works fine and comes complete with a USB-A to USB-C power cable and also a separate USB-A to USB-C gender changer, so that you can use this with an Ultrabook or a Mac that only has USB-C. Fast, responsive and nicely put together. I really think this is great value for half a Tb!

What can I say - works well. I now have a copy of my Dropbox folders that I previously could not have due to my space on my ASUS laptop.And it plugs directly into my phone!! Bonus.

Item says it is plug and play. However, upon plugging into android phone it isn't recognised and no status light illuminated on unit
