I bought this hat as part of a wax museum project for my son. Added the puffy vinyl to the front and it worked perfectly!The fit is great for his little 5 year old head and the price is good too.

I ordered this hat instead of another brand because I thought it had a metal buckle in the front. However, upon arrival I saw that it was velcro. Disappointed. The hat was fine, just wish it had been what was described in the image.

Upon receipt and trying on this hat, it is well made and as described. Hat is made from canvas, hunter green color is all over, velcro closure in the back to size hat.The sizing is where I get confused and perhaps think inaccurate for the description. When I think “boys” in sizing I think something for 5 years old and up. On my five year old, who has a large head, I still have to tighten the Velcro on this beyond the normal alignment of the hat; so the Velcro tab in the back is over hanging the closure area. This really isn’t so much a “boys” hat as it is just a hat, for anyone with a head. Maybe if you are an adult large this is not the hat for you but otherwise it fits like a hat.

For reasons I cannot begin to understand, my six year old has been begging me for a “plain green baseball cap”. Maybe it’s on a cartoon or something? Who knows! Regardless, his birthday was coming up and if a green hat was all I needed to float his boat, then so be it. I knew he’d wear it to shreds so I wanted to get a fairly durable looking one without breaking the bank. So although I found several cheaper options, I chose this reasonably-priced Port and Company cap instead. I’m glad I did too! The color is great (very green) and the quality is obvious when handling the fabric. I love that it’s adjustable and that the adjustable part is a fabric strap instead of the nasty plastic tabs or velcro I saw on the cheaper models. Obviously the fabric strap will last longer than the plastic or velcro would have. The fit is good too. It’s a little big on him (he’s an average size six year old) but that just means he still has plenty room to grow so the baseball cap will last him longer. All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase and recommend it to anyone whose kids makes weird hat requests like mine does.
