For Areas With Noticeable Build Up Use A Stiff Brush To Break Up Material And Continue To Keep Wet With Por-15 Cleaner Degreaser. Por-15 Cleaner Degreaser Is A Heavy Duty Water Soluble Cleaner That May Be Used Over Metal, Wood, Fiberglass, Vinyl And Concrete. Step 2. This stuff is easy to use and works great as long as you follow the directions. I used it on my tractor and even after heavy usage it has not scratched or peeled off and still looks new. It definitely stopped all the rust it was applied to. It does take several hours to dry and a few days to become fully cured. Afterward, it's rock solid.

It works really well but will harden in the tin if you don't use it all. Better to get the small tins.

Thanks seller, great product...! so as we are spoiled with 1 step products that try to do everything.. name the product and there will be an option... some some comments prior to buying that its labor intensive. No it just requires good prep, the cleaner and the rust inhibortor/converter, a water rinse with time thereafter to try and then the final coat. The finished product is a good thinkness and very solid bond. Messed with it just to try to see if i could flake it off or get it to un-bond. NOPE, this product is like a bulldogs bite. Super happy and believe these treatments will be as permanent as they advertise with the product. So from my first uses, very much worth the money and time. HIghly recommend. Probably the best product i have used in 40 years.

A few steps to follow but great results. Be careful and patient when using and wear protective gear. Turns rust black so a base paint works better before applying your color and clear coats.

The product it self is solid it's a simple three step process that stops rust completely and the steps are relatively easy to follow. In terms of other things though it loses a star for the three containers. They are all SUPER hard to open! the two push and turn containers are easy to open at first but when you try again its really painful. you have to press super hard and turn extremely hard. it's a massive pain. And the main star the paint can is RIDICULOUSLY HARD TO OPEN it glues itself shut and its impossible not to get the paint around the can and regardless of what you do itll just be welded shut next time you use it. All three products are sold here at an incredible value they just might not open when you wanna use them next time. And if you get the paint on your hand and it dries I found that if you soak your hands in vegetable oil for about a minute and then scrub with with the abrasive end of a sponge and some dish soap itll come off fairly easy it's not gonna be pleasant but it does the trick.

I used the POR metal treatment and coating system for the first time to treat and coat the interior section of a 1929 Ford Model A, and decided to try what is considered the best solution to start with surface rusted metal. The kit is excellent, and the results exceed expectations, even if the true test is of course how it stands up over time. Make sure you diligently follow the instructions. There is plenty of final coating in the can to apply two coats of the specified surface area by the manufacturer. Use cling wrap to avoid filling the lid-can groove with coating so that you may use the unused coating left in the can at a later date. Also use cling wrap between the lid and can for storage.

I wish the whole bottom of my truck was coated in this stuff. Works great and is easy to apply if you can get the lid off. I was unable to remove the lid. It comes in a can like a small paint can but the lid is impossible to open. I used a paint can opener tool and it only stretched the metal up. I need to get a replacement which Amazon was helpful to do for me but it also had difficulty getting open. You don't want to spill this stuff or get on you. You MUST use strong latex gloves. This stuff does not wash off. Also, do not get product on the lid area or you will never reopen the can. I would have given 5 stars if not for the container issues. They really need to use a different container for ease of opening. It's a bit pricey for a small can but works well.
