Installed this in a trunk lid. It's strong and works, but it's massive size and weight almost prevents the trunk lid from staying up

I installed these for a customer. He has the 45 lb door poppers and they would not open the doors on his 1941 Ford Deluxe. We found these and we thought the 100 lb solenoids should solve the problem. They didn't. In fact, these solenoids look exactly like the 45 lb solenoids. There is no difference in size or power. They are exactly the same and they failed to open the door. The customer had to have his car, so now we can't even return the solenoids for a refund.
