I got this a year ago for a goldfish. He has really thrived in it. What we do is use 1 gallon of good spring water every 10 days. So about $5 a month. We also use one of those "turkey baster" things to suck out the "debris" at the bottom every 2 days. Keeps the water cleaner longer. So no need to get a filter and such. We just put a couple plastic plants in there. New ones every 2 months. The bowl gets cleaned every 10 days. Crystal clear. We don't use gravel. No need. Fish has grown well. Will probably upgrade to a 2 gallon in another half year.

I use this container in transitioning my emmersed plants like peace lily and Pothos soil roots to water roots . Once these plants have acclimatized to water environment - then transferred to aquarium for additional biological filtratio . It is sturdy , light to carry around but I usually place these planters near the northeast windows .

I use this for a variety of things. It was purchased for promotional giveaways, and for that it works fabulously. I’ve used it at multiple events and it’s never scratched, so hold up well. It’s very lightweight and the mouth is wide, so it’s easy to reach in and grab your items. Definitely a good purchase. Happy camper.

The size is perfect for our goldfish. He’s one happy fish. This arrive packaged properly with protection as if it’s made of glass. Looking at it, it’s looks like glass. Very clear and shiny just like glass but very light just like plastic. Great quality.

I use this fishbowl for temporary housing of my betta while I'm cleaning its main tank. Even temporary, kids love looking at the fish in the bowl since it has a magnifying effect and it shows the fish much larger at certain position/angles. I do the normal water / filter changes but I like to do a complete cleaning every 2-3 weeks which requires me to move the fish. The plastic isn't heavy enough where I would consider using this bowl as a permanent home for any fish, but at the same time, it's not flimsy where I have to handle it carefully like a glass bowl. I got the smaller 7" bowl and I think it can handle about 0.7 gallon maybe? - which is enough water to keep the fish happy and water temp steady enough for a short period. Basically, it's perfect bowl for temporary storage of fish. Once I'm done using it, I clean it and use it to store all my fish related items. One drawback to this bowl though - the bottom of the bowl has a bulbous base to keep the bowl stable which creates a round crevice around the bowl. That crevice is perfect for your fish to hide in so your net can't reach it. I guess I can pour the water back into the main tank but I don't want to pour old water back into the tank...so I just have to wait and make sure the betta is right on top of the net outside of the crevice before I catch it and move it back.

Exactly as advertised. Perfect size for our unconventional project - a prop for our “Cat in the Hat” Trunk or Treat station. This will be a hit!
