A popular rosin with students and professionals alike, extremely soft pops rosin provides exceptional grip for both solo and orchestral performance. Pops rosin comes in a plastic container with snap-top lid. Most rosin appears melted by nature and needs to be scored before first use.

Buen producto a buen precio.Para la gente que dice que llega medio lleno. Lo que yo hago es poner la pops sobre el módem del WiFi y el calor leve la nivela por completo.

I had purchased my daughter, some bass rosin from a local shop who said their product was the best (and the most expensive) - after trying it for about a month, she asked me to please just buy what her music teacher recommended. THIS is that product, and it works beautifully. Should’ve just bought this to begin with.

Recommended by a teacher years ago, I've been using it ever since. Pop's is a great choice for a softer rosin for bass bows. Beware and heed the warning to keep it in its case and upright when not in use. If you leave it out and on its side on a warm day, you'll find it escaping!

My son needed rosin for his Bass bow. This is what you need to buy if your child is playing a bass because the typical bow rosin that looks like a bar of soap is not going to cut it. I tried that. Epic fail! The rosin lasted him the the semester and kept his bow from sounding screechy when he played. That is all I know. He was happy with it and he didn't complain. For a teenage boy, that is HUGE!

Genuine Pop's rosin, just like I've been using since high school orchestra. It's soft and sticky in the summer or in any warm environment. It will flow, so keep it in the paper cup. Whatever you do, don't make the mistake of ripping off the paper. If it ever starts drying up and getting crusty you might be able to microwave it if it's still in the paper cup. I tried it, and it makes it fresh again. After high school I switched to Nyman-Harts rosin which is darker and harder (powdery). I found that for me, the Pop's rosin works better, especially in the winter months so I recently bought a new cake of Pop's. You'd be surprised how much a difference the type of rosin will make on your tone. It's a bigger difference than getting your bow rehaired or maybe even more than a different set of strings in your bass. I've also heard good things about Kolstein, so I'm going to try that brand of rosin soon.

Bassists, like all string players, tend to get a little crazy about rosin. In some ways they may be crazier than the rest of the string section. Pops is one of the cheapest rosins out there, and yet it's one that almost every bassist uses, or has used at some point. Some use nothing but Pops. Some save it for Winter use, when its softness and stickiness make it work in dry, cold weather when nothing else will. Some mix or layer it with other rosins. I know one bassist who uses Pops as a bass, and adds a swipe of Carlsson's on top of that. (Sort of reminds me of how cross country skiers sometimes put hard wax over klister for certain conditions, but I digress.)Regardless, it's a very useful rosin to have in your kit. It can be tricky to use; too heavy a hand will leave gobs on your bow. Not a good thing. But a couple of light swipes will lay on a good base that lasts and lasts and works when other rosins just don't seem to grab enough. I always keep a fresh cake on hand.

If you are unfamiliar with Pops or you have just started playing the Bass than this short review is for you.Pops is a great beginners rosin up thru collegiate level. Most undergraduates tend to go on and buy different rosin as they enter the scene but it's nearly guaranteed that they have all used Pops at one time. It is a very reasonable price, for some considerably sticky rosin. I would say the break in time on this rosin is a little longer than many players would like but you wont find yourself constantly needed to rosin up.Many folks in the Western US prefer this Rosin because it dries up slower, and when it does, it is cheaper to replace. If you are in a high and dry climate like I am, I strongly recommend this stuff. If you are in a very humid hot environment than this stuff may but too much of a hassle to deal with (it will flow everywhere in the course if a couple hours and the right conditions). Don't leave it in the Sun! This stuff can be a total nightmare if left at an angle in the sun and it will dry it out all too quickly.
