Great pond netting that is very large in size and stretchy. I have a waterfall pond and this is the time of year when the Chorus frogs come and mate. I need to keep them out of this particular location as it sits near our bedroom window and those little frogs have great big voices. I wanted the appearance to be minimal and durable. This has been a battle for a while now. Easy to install and comes with pins. Great value for the cost. If it is as functional as I hope it I will be extremely happy!

OK so I got this item not for a pond but for a pool. My pool, which is only a 9 x 18 Intex pool, is located right under an acorn tree which for half of the year just empties leaves into it. I didn’t want to put a full tarp over it. I don’t want to put posts into the ground. All I needed wasbto keep the darn leaves out of it. Then someone suggested I get a “bird net” but when I saw this item, which is a pond net it looked like the same thing so I guess it kind of is …..anyway, I stretched it out over the pool and it worked like a charm. I wish I had known this before, but it is a nice item that comes with stakes and if you do have any kind of pond it will keep the garbage out of it. It kept the garbage out of my above groundpool. This was a super big deal because we keep having to backwash it, and the pump is filled with leaf garbage. I didn’t think this thing out before. I’ll definitely use it all summer long and most of the winter but not in the two months of spring. Good idea. It stretches. It’s durable. It’s bigger than I thought. Actually, it comes with steaks. The whole thing is worth the price point.

Pond Netting Shield - Reviewed February 14, 2025.Installing the Pond Netting Shield over my koi pond, which sits conveniently under an orange tree and a shadesail, was a real lifesaver—quite literally for my koi! Blue herons had been treating my pond like a drive-thru, despite the decent water plant coverage. But with this net, their plot was foiled, and my fish are safe and sound.Another huge plus is how it keeps the pond top clean. Oranges used to roll away annoyingly when I tried to fish them out with a skimmer, but now the net traps them in one spot, making cleanup a breeze. Although, sometimes I’ll leave a few behind because, fun fact: my koi seem to enjoy the occasional orange as a treat! The installation wasn't too challenging, but I did face a hiccup with the ground stakes. My dirt was as tough as nails after six dry months, leading to a stake casualty. If your ground’s hard like mine was, give it a good soak to ease the process. Despite that minor hurdle, this net’s value in protective and cleaning convenience is undeniable.

After a few seasons I needed to replace the koi pond netting. This product is strong and easy to stretch across my pond. I've lost a fish to an owl strike, so I've learned the value of having a net over the pond. It's also good for keeping leaves out of the pond during fall. I used to have to unclog my skimmer basket several times per day when the leaves were falling.I also like that it's matte black and barely visible above the water.

I got this for a small backyard pond we have. The mesh IS wide enough for a racoon to reach through, so if that's your issue you might want a smaller mesh. Otherwise, this is decent. It's a tad thinner than others I've had and I did rip it a bit when installing. Once it's all set up it seems like it'll prevent birds from snagging the fish out of the pond.
