We have ~ 200gal koi fish pond with a couple dozen koi and gold fish. This pump is great for fairly clean ponds, i.e. small volume, clear water and very few fish, otherwise you'd be cleaning it every other day. The filter area is just too small and gets clogged up very fast. We use it as a second pump/filter along with much bigger one. The assembly/disassembly for cleaning is nice and easy, however a big negative is that the filter itself can not be removed for cleaning without feeding the whole length of AC wire through it. I ended up slicing a filter on one end so it is not a continuous loop and inserting a cut to measure strip of household sponge "splice" to make sure that I can wrap the whole thing around filter frame without gaps. Again, for small volume clear ponds where you have to clean it very rarely as is this a good product, otherwise beware.

I’m using this for hydroponics and it is great.First, the adapters that it includes makes it really easy to run this as a fountain or pump.This pump is also much quieter than other models that I have had. It’s larger foot also allows it to sit stabil in my basinFinally, I love that this pump has a sizable filter which helps me keep algae down. It’s not perfect but better than what I had.Being that this pump was only a few dollars more than my last one, it’s really a great value.

This is a great pump, great aeration, pumping and price. I didn't expect much but I'm super happy, I may get a second one just for extra water flow; my fish are peppier, water cleaner and I went about 3 weeks without cleaning the filter. I'm very impressed. Excellent little pump! :) (my pond is ~260+ gallons for reference).

This was the best fountain for my little pond. The water shoots high. The filter was easy to clean and didn’t have to be cleaned often.

This is a nice little fountain kit that adds a pleasant visual and sound element to a pond. While the pump isn’t particularly strong—it doesn’t shoot water very high, especially if the fountain head is submerged by more than a few inches—it still moves water effectively and creates a pretty decorative spray. It’s a good option for adding gentle aeration and ambiance to a small outdoor pond or water garden. So far this seems to work great.The kit includes multiple water pattern attachments, which are easy to swap out depending on your desired effect. I noticed the diverter valve (used to switch between the fountain feature and using it solely as a pump) doesn’t fully shut off one side—it allows some water to flow to both outlets regardless of the setting. This isn’t a major issue, but worth noting.After about a week of use, the filter did get a bit clogged, likely due to the fine sediment on the bottom of my pond. Elevating the unit slightly using a block or a small stand would probably help keep the filter cleaner for longer. Fortunately, the pump is easy to disassemble, and cleaning the filter is quick and straightforward.Overall, this is a solid, budget-friendly pump and fountain kit for smaller ponds or as a secondary feature in a larger setup. It’s simple to install, looks nice running, and is easy to maintain.
