- #3 in Center-Channel Speakers
The TL1 center channel speaker brings clear dialogue and dynamic special effects to TV, movies and on-screen action in an ultra-compact design. The silk dome tweeter and mid-range drivers coupled with Time Lens technology deliver smooth highs, superior audio detail and pinpoint imaging. Polk's proprietary, patented Dynamic Balance technology tunes out distortion-causing driver and system resonances. It also features a power port that is designed for bigger, more efficient, deep bass impact, and enables better blending with a subwoofer. The unit’s hi-Gloss "Blackstone" finish matches today's most stylish flat-panel TVs and furniture. Built-in keyhole slots and threaded inserts makes for easy mounting of the speaker.

Als Einsteiger Modell sehr zu Empfehlen. Für unsere Zwecke absolut ausreichend. Der Ton über den AVR ist klar und Bassig. Ist Täglich im Einsatz und erfüllt seinen Zweck.

Well worth it! Have looked and listened to the bigger fancier ones at Best Buy and this one totally competes with them at a fraction of the cost.

I needed a low profile speaker and this provides excellent centre speaker sound for its size and with volume and sound above its size. Very impressed and happy with it.

I have a surround sound system but my center was ancient and muffled. Hard to hear voices. Not any more. Bit of a reflection off the top of the unit so I put black Japanese fabric tape on it. Covered the brand name on the speaker cover too. Sound is very very clear. Had to recalibrate the other speakers but I'm really happy with my Polk 🔊😀

I am using this speaker as a replacement for my original center channel on my home theater system. I am space limited so it's size worked very well. The sound is rich and clear for dialog. And it took less than one minute to connect.

I needed this speaker because I only had two speakers and a subwoofer. Whenever I tried to watch movies the sound of their voices could not be heard due to the missing centre speaker. The speaker was super easy to hook up (two wires) and sounds great; problem solved.

A smaller sized center channel speaker, doesn’t block television screen. Clear sound

I frequently buy stuff expecting the absolute least from them, only to not even reach that low bar. Reviews were uniformly good on this centre speaker, but that doesn't always count for much on here. Purchased it at a low sale price, and expected to be disappointed as I was swapping out a great sounding speaker that was unfortunately just too bulky for its position on a mantel.Pleasantly surprised doesn't even begin to describe it. This speaker is tiny, and yet provides a properly rich sound. Bass, mids, and highs are all very well represented. It's a warm and full sound, never boomy, never tinny, never muddy. I don't appear to have sacrificed a thing in terms of sound quality in moving down to something comfortably a third of the size of my other speaker. Looks pleasant and unassuming enough, without any faddish bling, or instantly dated design touches.Speaker terminals are recessed so your connections don't get in the way of sitting or hanging it flush to a wall.Difficult to know what more to say. I have it as part of a 7.2 set-up in a large room and it never gets lost competing with the other speakers. A really capable performer in a small package, at a daft price.

A solid center speaker that does the job right out of the box. Polk items can go really high end, especially when buying a complete system, but individually you can build your system on a budget without breaking the bank.It does exactly what it is supposed to do with very little fanfare or bells and whistles, and looks great with the grill on, or off. I have them off to match my components. The sound is solid, and naturally it is not made to carry the entire weight of the sound system, but to round it out as a team player. It is solidly built, looks great, and looks nice in front of my 50 inch Samsung. Do not expect the sound from this center speaker to blow you away, but it does the job nicely for what its designed for at a good price. One caveat if you are not hanging it on the wall, the speaker dips a little low when resting it in front of your TV, so it looks off with a slanted downward look. It drove me nuts, so you will have to undertake your own solution since they did not supply any small supports for those thinking of resting in on an entertainment center. Buy some basic sticky furniture pads, or use any other item under the front corners that can stabilize the speaker and make it stand more upright. Once I did this, the look improved dramatically and the sound is going where it should, vs bouncing downwards away from you.A great buy and I am pleased all and all. Polk always comes through with solid products that work like a charm.

I just finished my basement and pre-wired it for a 5.1 surround system in the theatre area. I installed Polk MC80's as my fronts and rears, the Polk TL1 as my center channel and the Polk PSW505 as my sub. I am super happy with the results of this system and everyone who has heard it has responded with words like "WOW" and "HOLY COW".I would like to have purchased the larger version of this speaker (TL2) but I didn't have a lot of space to work with above my TV. So, I chose this one instead. It fits perfectly and looks great. Given it's smaller stature, I am very pleased with the sound. It may lack a bit of the punch of the larger version but the found is clean and easily fills our theatre room. If you have a large theatre room and more space for the speaker, step up to the TL2. Otherwise, this unit will work very well.

Perfect center channel speaker for 3.1 bedroom setup, but I think this could hold it's own in a 7.1 HT as well. It's small, powerful, and stylish! Looks amazing with the grille on or off. Very clean dimensional sound with no muddle at all. I'm starting to wonder if this setup can take down my 7.1 THX Onkyo home theatre... it's that good in here now!I've got mine paired with a couple of Pioneer SP-BS-21s and a vintage JVC SP-PW800 sub, powered by a killer 1980s Pioneer XSX504S. My analog connection to FIOS is set to Laser Disc input, that's how old the receiver is!I just replaced a long outdated yet adequate KLH center channel speaker. Fresh out of the box I'm dishing out some Palladium/ESPN/AXS on the HD networks just to get an idea how rocked out I can get it in here. So far, I am more than happy with this little beast. Vocal clarity improvement - nice lows - really good highs - mids will warm over time I believe, but right now I have about 15 minutes of driver burn in and I'm still happy. Zero clipping at 3 o'clock and it is beyond loud at that level... Hook yourself up! You know you can pay more, of course you can! BUT WHY??? Save some cash and get this!!! (4 stars but it really deserves 4.5)
