The operation steps of the pin:
Simple operation process
- Step 1: This is the pin lock position when the pin cap orientation is towards the back.
- Step 2: Just start pressing lightly at the pin lock position and turn it counter-clockwise.
- Step 3: Rotate so that the direction of the pin cap points to the middle of the wire box.
- Step 4: After the pin cap is in the correct position, you can press it with your palm, and the pin in the wire box can stick out. But if you encounter a harder wooden or gypsum surface, you can also use a hammer to lightly tap the pin cap to make the pin go more into the fixed surface and achieve a more stable state.
IMPORTANT: For your safety, remember to return the pin to the locked position when it is no longer in use.

This not only saves me a ton of time by not fighting the string but it also magnets or nails in place very quickly. I can plumb a centerline for whatever quickly and I've used it to help plumb a 20' balloon wall very accurately.

Magnet is nice and strong. The plumb bob self retracts easy and the pencils are as they get to a point it’s funny. It makes quick work of setting door jambs. When it grew feet and walked away I bought another.
