Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase of this shuffleboard. The construction of the table is solid and has a great finish to it. I deducted one star for not including pre-drilled holes for the hardware that must be installed but it's nothing a power driver is not able to remedy. Also, the first table I received had mismatched color between the legs and cradle. The vendor was quick to remedy this situation by sending a whole new table as well as ship back the original one I received at no cost.I also wanted to comment on some of the other people here that mentioned that they had to drill into the MDF to install the climatic adjusters. To be clear, the climatic adjusters are not meant to be inserted all the way up into the holes on the bottom of the table. Thus, off center holes are fine as you need access to both the top and bottom bolts of the adjusters in order to make changes to the play surface. Look at the McClure website for a video on how to make changes to the climatic adjusters which will give you an idea on how they should be mounted to the table.

I purchased the 9 foot table. Weighed about 250lbs and needed three guys to bring it in the house. I concur with most opinions about quality. I was missing 1 screw from mdf to table bottom from factory. Pulled out one existing to find a matching length and broke it putting it back in, so now I had to find two replacements. That done started assembling the base. The light colored wood on the base is different from the light colored wood on the table surround. The instructions are horrible and I ended up with more "L" brackets than required.( Maybe a 14foot kit?)Broke a couple of those screws mounting the L brackets. HINT: Be sure to attach the L bracket to the end first for the end panels on the 9 foot table, mark the holes for side panels, predrill then screw with driver extension.Opened up the holes in the mdf with a rasp on a drill. Installed climatic adjuster screws although had no idea what they were until I came on here a found a review which included going to McClur tables website for info. (Great site, check it out)One of the nuts for the climate adjuster was not threaded so I had to find another. None of the wrenches provided actually fit the nuts ( mine were 11 mil). No extra parts, exact count only.Cams on leg connectors are VERY weak so I ended up gluing and screwing the end panels ( not a big fan of the cam style connector anyway)Turned the table upright and the instructions show mounting the score keepers to the side, though I saw them on top so came back to amazon to check out a picture. Yep it shows them on top, unfortunately the base of the scorer is a wee bit bigger than the lip of the cradle. I mounted them on top since it allows both players to see the score. All 4 hole plugs for scorer wrong size, 3 too big and one too small. Honestly a decent Quality Control inspection set up would eliminate ALL of these problems. These are $1000 and up toys, toss in a couple of extra nuts ,screws, and cams, eyeball the hole alignment, test the cam connectors and bump up the grade on them. And for goodness sake have someone who actually built one of these things rewrite the instructions! Is that so hard?!?I rated the product a 3 for my hassle, correct these simple things and it would be a 5.

I just assembled this table last night with 2 of my family members. You're going to need some strength to move this thing around when it arrives off the truck, it weighs a ton. I had it delivered to my house, and fortunately the guy dropping it off was willing to help with my friend and I to move it. You're going to need to unbox it probably on the truck to get it down. The board has a great matte finish which looks awesome in the right light. The sides of the table look nice, though mine had some small blemishes in the wood which won't be noticed really by anyone but me. The color is nice, and I think it will last for some time in terms of style, it's pretty timeless. The feet give a little left to want in terms of size and stability look though. But as others have said, if you're not technically inclined, this board is probably not for you. Or you're going to need to hire someone to help build it. It's not terribly complicated, but it's a lot of drilling and the instructions are kind of vague. If you have built things before from a kit I don't think you would have a problem with this however (lets just say it's about 2 steps up from IKEA stuff). It also required me to drill into the cradle to access the holes in the maple block for the adjusters which was a little uncomfortable. I feel like the table is really pretty sturdy once we got it all together properly. All in all it's a good table. Very good for the price (seriously a 14 foot maple block for under 2k is pretty unheard of). But expect to buy new pucks as this one comes with some cheap smaller ones (not the worst, but far from the best). Also the wax it comes with plays like it's made of salt and sawdust. You're going to need to upgrade those bits at a small price, a set of pucks can be had for around $70, and wax for 7-10 dollars a can.

The table is great, but if you are not mechanically inclined you will have lots of trouble. Mine was missing 30 screws for the mounting of the base to the top. Also the table adjusters that mount to the table itself to adjust the table curve have to be screwed into the butcher block. Of the 8 screws that had to be mounted only 2 holes we predrilled. I had to drill the other 6 holes. Not a big deal if you have a drill and the right bit. There also were no instructions on the table set up after assembly. I had to go to a Mclure web site where they explained how to adjust your table for play. You will need some strong friends to lift the table
