I always find that bicycle fenders are tricky to install since every bicycle is different, so I can understand some reviews. These fenders are universal fit, meaning they have some adjustment and alternative mounting options. For the front fender, the bolt for the under-the-fork mounting was too long so I cut it shorter, mostly for appearance. Also, the front stays (a metal rod that goes around the fender and bolt to the fork tip) were long so cut them shorter. This way I can bring the fender closer to the tire. Yes, as other reviews have mentioned, the stay adjustment screws are tight so be careful not to strip them. For the rear fender, I did not modify the hardware (note that modifying them will void warranty!). I used the zip-tie option to attach the rear fender to the frame, but at the bottom bracket, I did not have a place to secure it, so I just left it without any hardware. Overall the fit is great, and we will see how these fenders will survive the harsh California winter :) Note: 38mm tires fit well with the fender and these fenders are made in Taiwan.

If you buy these fenders, use your own hardware. A STEEL bolt snapped in the dropout of an ALUMINUM frame during install of the rear fender. Yes, there was some factory paint in the threads which made it a little tight, but still shouldn’t have been enough to snap a steel bolt. Now I have to buy an easy out/extractor kit and some higher quality metric bolts, and spend time that I don’t have to get this bolt out. For the cost of this kit, at least include some quality stainless hardware.

I got these for when my commute started to get wet. I did an initial fit check and found that the supports were too long for my bike so I did cut-to-fit the supports. Not ideal but not a big deal. I waited until it was raining to install them completely and the day I needed to install them it was pouring out and had less than a hour before I had to leave, it took 30min to install. What I liked more than other fenders was the clean look, meaning they didn’t have the flared mud flap looking pieces and the tail end of them. I got pretty wet that day but without the fenders I would have been soaked.

Me gustaron las salpicaderas, desconozco que tan resistente sea el pvc...ya probare según las use. Lo que no me gusto fue que los tornillos y las tuercas que enviaron no coincidieron entre si por lo que no los pude usar...así que tuve que comprarlos.

Like several other reviewers, I got these because I was tired of the radio-antenna-like stays on my old fender set. I kept getting things snagged on them and they were just kind of unsightly on a bike that I've tried to make look as clean and lean as possible. The wrap-around stays on these and the high gloss finish were what sold me. The stays are pretty thick metal. Set up on the rear fender was a breeze with no tweaking needed at all. The front fender took some Mcguyvering. Like some others noted, the front stays are quite long and I had to cut mine: I clipped off about an inch with my dremel in no time and dabbed a little paint on the end to prevent rust. I also had to get a longer bolt so the stay on the left side would clear my disc caliper: a quick trip to Ace Hardware and a $1.50 stainless bolt + 2 nuts solved that problem easy. While I was there I picked up some different mounting hardware since the stuff that comes with this set is kinda crappy: Planet Bike, socket heads with phillips on cycling stuff....really? Anyways, all in I spent another $5 on stainless hex hardware, which was fine by me. These fenders weren't pricey to begin with so no big deal. Took a little time adjusting the stays so that they spacing was symmetrical all around. All in, including trip to hardware store, I probably spent an hour on these. These are exactly what I wanted. Nice clean look. Solid mount. No rattles or vibrations. Very happy. I also take a little more comfort in the break-away feature on the front fenders. Hopefully I never need that, but its nice to know its there.Last thought: If you've installed fenders on a bike before, particularly one with disc brakes, you know that there's some amount of fuss and fumble associated with it no matter what fender you get. The time spent on fitting shenanigans with this set was no more or less than other fenders I've dealt with, so set your expectations accordingly. I threw a couple pics up so you can see the finished product and also how I deal with the caliper side. Hope this helps!

These fenders were almost exactly what I expected them to be. That is to say, they are completely decent fenders, and a good value. They are not top-of-the-line fenders, and you should not expect them to be at this price. I found them to be a very good fit for my old 1990 Miyata TripleCross, an old hybrid running 700C x 35 slick tires. One thing I did expect, was for all of the hardware to be correct. This was not the case. Maybe my TripleCross is an oddball, but I required a different size of bolt to attach the front stays at the dropouts. The hardware itself isn't superb, and I was somewhat disappointed that it's external hex, internal... Phillips drive? Internal hex is far preferred on a bike, as the wrenches are compact to carry.I also had misplaced hopes that the front fender would keep my bottom bracket and feet completely free of spray, and this was not the case. You'll notice that better fenders have an extension, or flap, extending farther down. Well, I quickly found out why. I ended up making my own 6" extension flap for the front, out of rubber sheet, attached with pop-rivets, and now I can ride wet streets and even shallow puddles, at speed, with near complete impunity. I stay nice and dry. I don't consider this to be a major mark against these fenders, as they still do a good job out of the box. Far better than getting a wet muddy back at every puddle or misdirected sprinkler. However, if you intend to regularly ride in the wet, you might be happier spending a little more for a set which has slightly better coverage. I should add that the rear fender is perfectly adequate, and kept me dry without any modification.I've found the fenders to add a little bit of noise to the ride, as sand or debris is kicked up from the tires. Otherwise, their existence is mostly transparent. I can drop the rear tire out without removing them, and I'm sure the front isn't a problem either.
