Product Description

The Pixel FC-313/S TTL Cord for Sony allows you to use your Sony speedlite without having to mount your speedlite to your camera. This enables you to use a soft box in conjunction with your speedlite. One end of the cable slides into the hotshoe of your camera and the other end of the cable consists of a hotshoe adapter in which you can mount your speedlite. Further, the bottom of the hotshoe adapter is equipped with a female thread allowing you to mount your adapter and speedlite to a tripod or light stand. This way, your speedlite can be positioned separately to your camera. An advantage of the TTL cable is that it ensures all your speedlite settings are transmitted accurately from the camera to the speedlite. Additionally, the FC-313/S supports high-speed synchronization. The length of the cable is 80cm and can be stretched to a maximum length of 1.8 meters. A protection cap is included with the delivered to protect the hotshoe adapter of the cable.

For the money it does it's work, but the cord is too tense and pulls on shoe bracket. Will see how long it will last. Last one lasted only 1 month before the cord broke off the head.

I purchased this cord for use with a Sony A580 and a Minolta 3600 flash. I've had problems with wireless using this flash my old Minolta 7D DSLR, so I had trust issues that led me to using a cord when using the flash on a bracket. So far no problems. I always attach everything with the camera and flash off, the turn on after it is all connected.I've used the cord for a little practice photography around home and one wedding. Around 300 shots total. No problems, no flash failure, more reliable than wireless sync in my limited experience. I made this 4 stars because there isn't a latch on the camera end of the cord. The flash has a latch, the cord has a spring loaded catch which I find not to inspire the confidence of the latch. There have been no problems so far, so not a big deal. The only other niggle is that the cord is formed to go the right while the flash bracket needs to have the cord go to the left. It bends just fine, but I worry that the pre-bend will put stress on the mount.
