This speed square is a standard, well made tool. The markings for measurements annd angles are very accurate, easy to read, and the length is a true 7”. I find myself reaching for this tool very often. The square is made of aluminum that’s lightweight but very sturdy. The black finish is nice and I have even received a few compliments on the job site which is not very common for tools. This framing square is a fraction of the price of some brand names and works just as well in my opinion.

This P.I.T. 7" Carpenter's Triangle Ruler is working well. I use these all the time for all kinds of stuff. You can't have too many of these around. The etching is easy to read and the ruler itself is solid. Overall, very happy with this triangle ruler.

As someone getting into DIY with wood, this is a great tool to have getting those 90 degrees measurements. The ruler is accurate and 7-in is a good size. I wished it was made of steel alloy instead of aluminum, so that I can stick magnetic levelers on it as I am currently using it more for leveling than woodworking. Overall, I am satisfied with this item.

I have several of these in different sizes. These rafter squares are useful for so much more than just laying out rafters. When comparing this square to another I own of the same size, and have used for years, this has become my new favorite. My old square is just plain silver aluminum. After using it for a while the numbers get hard to see. They are etched in the aluminum, but everything is the same color. The contrasting colors of this new square are so much easier on my aging eyes. The white numbers against the black background just pop and are so much better to work with. The matte finish or coating on the tool also makes it better to grip and I don't find myself dropping it as much. Whether you need to find an angle, use it as a ruler for short measurements, or just slap it on some lumber to guide your saw in a cut, this is a must have tool for any carpenter or hobbyist.

I’ve been using a small plastic carpenters square for years but I am a DIYer so it’s ok. My Dad was a contractor and I worked with him on and off so we always used better quality metal squares - and this is a very nice square. Solid feel but not heavy. Great measurement options. Fits in the side pocket of the toolbelt well…and a great price. Overall a great option for both DIYers and professionals alike.

This is a pretty good and basic speed square. First thing I did was test the accuracy. It is indeed pretty dead-on square.... square enough for woodworking anyway. The angles on the square are also pretty accurate. The indentions every 1/2" are not too accurate but they would be good for rough measurements. They can be off by up to 1/16" for me. This is because the tip of the indention is rounded and my pencil can wander depending on the grain of the wood and the angle I hold the pencil at.The fit and finish is pretty good. The edges are a little on the sharper side but I prefer this because it makes your lines more accurate. The printing on the square is not indented. It is simply printed on the square. This is the only thing I didn't like but at this price point, I am ok with this.

I like the design of this square because the markings are painted and not etched or cast into the metal. This design allows a pencil to move smoothly along the edges of the square instead of bumping along as it might do on many other, similar squares. The markings are printed so that they stand out against the black background and are easy to read.At around an eighth-inch thick, this square feels solid and presents very well.

This speed square is not only accurate, but very easy to read. It is metal, probably aluminum so it won't weigh you down. I confirmed accuracy with a digital readout angle finder and it was well above tolerance for framing and other common carpentry uses. Can't beat the value for the speed square. I recommend
