Update company contacted me and got me fixed up. Sent out a new rod and I ended up buying the alloy M bait caster as well and it works amazing.First impression is it looks nice. The case is embroidered with the name it's sturdy. No shoulder strap. The fly box is nice. The reel is smoothe the drag is smoothe. The handle was nice. I'm used of using a lews spinning reel or zebco 33 bait casters. I fish fresh and salt from reds to bass perch and croppie and everything between. So I went in my yard and threw it roll cast with 15 ft of line out stripped some more did a back cast and threw forward. 20-25' fly line out. Went to back cast and pulled the rod forward and the rod section flew forward. End of story. Not sure if I went too hard or what but it was slow to me as I would for a 30ft spin cast reel. Really disappointed that it broke

Bought this for myself as a starter fly rod. I’ve been using it almost every weekend for a few months now and I don’t really see why I’d ever need to upgrade. The fly box is good quality, the flies are ok. You’ll soon be obsessed with buying new flies anyway. If you’re thinking about getting into fly fishing but you’re like me and don’t want to spend a ton then this is the combo for you

Bought this pole for my girlfriend. On the first outing the tip section of the rod broke due to poor construction. Customer service was quick to respond but it took 3-4 weeks to receive the replacement. We were going on a trip that weekend so no time to replace the rod and just used 3 of the 4 pieces, unfortunately a section got stuck in the car door and broke. We contacted customer service and they sent a replacement for that piece for $20 but it still took 3-4 weeks to arrive . Finally received the two new sections of the rod only to find that the pieces would not fit together. So once again the rod is unusable. I contacted customer service, they sent us replacements, which meant another 3-4 weeks of waiting. Just got out and we used the rod for the first time. A nymph was stuck on a few leaves. As my girlfriend reeled in the line, the tip section broke again in the same exact place. Since this rod could not handle a few leaves, I would never trust this rod to be able to catch a fish and I'd advise people to stay away.The reel works fine, and the floating line worked well. Overall I'd advise people to stay away from this product. I've been fishing a redington crosswater rig for 3 years, its seen plenty of abuse and still going strong, something I can't say for the Piscifun product.

I'm new to fly fishing but man do I love this rig. To be fair I've not used top of the line gear but I know quality and I know value and this is it. There is so much thought put into this set. It's perfect for the beginner. It's pull it out of the case and cast. Nothing about it feels cheap or entry level. Carrying case is amazing. Slides perfect into backpack and breaks down easily. I'll caught about 30+ fish on it so far and plan to catch a whole lot more. Thanks piscifun for a great value and thoughtful kit for the beginner fly fisherman.

I liked the rod and reel. The rod has dots to help line up when put it together. The reel will be fine for a beginner.Bought this for my son, and as soon as we opened it, we noticed the fly box's lid was broken. That was the only item that was damaged. If Piscifun don't send us a new fly box, I might need to purchase one so my son has the entire combo.Beside that, it's a good buy.
