We have had multiple leaks in our galvanized pipes and wanted to have some clamps to keep around to be able to make a quick repair, if needed, without having to run to the store each time. These were a great option an so far, have worked well.

My copper plumbing pipes are old. Until I save enough nickels to re-plum, I'm using these clamps. They work great.

Was able to easily install over a small drip. However it only slowed the drip and did not stop it, I had to go back later and preform a more permanent fix. These are only good to hold you over until you can get the leak fixed.

I live in a very old house with a dirt crawlspace and old copper pipes that spring leaks all the time thanks in part to very hard water. A few years ago I had a large hot water leak in the middle of a blizzard. These allow me to make a fix in just a few minutes. Very handy when you have 16 inches on headroom and lots of spiders. Just remember to tell the plumber not to take the clamps with them if they fix the pipe (as mine did.) They aren't cheap!
