yes it feels unfinished but it does not feel buggy and it is very usable. Some stuff misses the point but it is a great creative tool for what it has. The people who designed this are geniuses. Of course it should have been updated. I wish for a follow up. Has great connectivity. Timing is ok. The major problem is that the midi outs do not have 5 volts so you need to use it with a small midi chain, or else it will freeze/crash all the time.

This machine has several shortcomings that make it a pain to use.Firstly there is some kind of bug that allows a pad to stick. Once that happens you cannot proceed, all other button presses thereafter do not respond. The only way out is to long press each pad until the stuck pad releases, which could be any pad and even then it may re-stick. Pioneer Toraiz instruments cannot be reset to factory settings, how foolish is that? What if you want to sell one of them (and you probably will want to do that once you become familiar with their products). There hasn't been an update for several years and it's stuck on 1.1 so it doesn't look like a bug fix is likely in the future and there is NO POINT T ALL contacting tech support. This brings me to the second major problem that I have discovered - when sending notes to the Toraiz SP-16 you can only send one note at a time and the note comes on two octaves too high and consequently the higher notes land off the scale and are not recorded so you end up entering the notes manually, thus defeating the purpose of owning technology.Thirdly, the arpeggio's do not conform to the bar length. If your bar is 16 steps the arp can be ANY amount of steps, from 8 - 24 (especially if you use the harmoniser in conjunction with the arpeggiator whilst playing). This is not useful and all my other equipment with randomisers and arpeggiators do not do this.Fourthly, why am I even sending sequences to the Toraiz SP-16? Good question, considering the Squid is supposed to be a dedicated, specialist sequncer but the SP-16 can do things it cannot, such as pitch bend individual notes so I can MANUALLY MODIFY EACH NOTE so that my music can be in Pythagorean temperament, microtonal being something neither machine can do automatically.I've only owned it a few months and things are already looking grim. Caveat emptor!

He usado varios secuenciadores hardware y este es lo que más se le asemeja a un daw, la curva de aprendizaje no es media en cuestión de tiempo, pero una vez cumplida esta , es muy intuitiva.
