I took a chance on this product as I really wanted a scallop style pinking shear. The pics showed a scallop and the details say zig zag. Obviously those two are not the same, so I asked Rufus and it told me that they were in fact "zig zag and not scallop". Rufus was wrong. So I am happy with my purchase but don't believe the label in this case, believe the picture.

Where have you been hiding these? I hate to say it but these shears are soooooo much better than my Ginghers. They are so comfortable and I don't feel like I'm tearing through my fabric.Such a lifesaver!

These are some very good heavy duty scissors that are great for doing boarders on pretty much anything from paper to fabric!

I’ve been needing a set of pinking shears for a while and when I saw these, I thought to give them a try! They are… fine. They’re as basic as a set of pinking shears go, they’re a little dull near the base and tips of the blades but otherwise they can get the job done. They do very well on paper and 4mm foam, but have a tougher time when it comes to thicker foam and any fabric that’s not broadcloth. Good for beginners, best for scrapbooking and other paper crafts. I’d say serious sewists/tailors aren’t going to get consistent pinked edges with these, and should look for something significantly sharper and better shaped.Speaking of shapes, something to note is that the cuts are NOT zigzag triangles as advertised. These are scallops (half circles) in shape. I’ve attached a photo of cutting 4mm down and thin vinyl to show this.
