- i'm a lefty and it left my hand fairly clean- allows for different levels of ink distribution as you rotate it.- writing was always so much fun. great flow. very smooth writing (considering that it's a fountain pen)- I grip the pen too close and would get ink on my hands.- drys quickly on papermaybe depend on what you prioritize

These pens are great if you want to start writing with fountain pens, they write so smooth and don’t bleed through the paper, would recommend for any beginner.

I’ve learned more about fountain pens since I originally wrote my first review. I have learned that the trouble I have had with these is the tip is far too fine for my taste and style of handwriting. However, as far as disposable pens go, these are by far the best I have currently. So as long as you’re ok with a fine tip, and the price per pen, maybe you’d like these. Personally, I do not. I ordered a more proper fountain pen with a broader nib on the end. Hopefully that will work better for me, as I enjoy writing, only my writing is horrendously sloppy without a proper writing implement that is suited to my style. I think I’ll leave the review at 3 stars, as I seldom see the opportunity for me to put these to use. Maybe I’ll give two of them away.

I remember the old fountain pens well. It makes a difference in your penmanship, and always seems more elegant. But they tended to grab the paper if you went sideways, interrupting your train of thought. So when I found a couple of these in the back of the drawer recently, I decided to try one. What a great instrument! There is no paper grabbing, just easy ink flow without having to apply the pressure of a ball pen. It just flows. So this has become my favorite. Although the cap must be replaced when not using it, it's easier to use and looks better than with a pen or pencil. My hand likes it too. Thank you!

A co-worker of mine has a nice fountain pen. You know, one of those types of fountain pens that someone will let you hold but not write with? Yeah, he’s a fountain-pen snob. I’ve always enjoyed writing with a nice pen and I wanted to try out this whole fountain pen thing, but not be a snob about it, so I picked up these.I’ll caveat my review by saying this is my first real fountain pen experience, so I’m by no means a fountain pen expert. But I’ll assume that most people looking at these reviews are sort of like me: they like a pen that writes nice; they like a pen that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg; and, they want a pen that you can lose and not feel like the family dog just ran away.Well, these pens fit all three. They write very nice laying down a good line of ink. These are the medium points and the lines can be a little thick if you’re writing on very absorbent paper or writing slowly. I have found that the fine point works well for the cases where I want to write/draw things with finer detail, but the medium points work well for general, everyday writing and signing things. They don’t last as long as a “normal” pen since they do lay down quite a bit of ink, but I’d be hard pressed to tell you the last time a used an entire ball-point pen since I usually lose them before the ink is all gone. I can say that I’ve completely used all the ink in two of these fountain pens and I don’t feel cheated. Also, you’d be surprised at how often people will comment on your fountain pen—even if it is a cheap disposable one. And better yet, you can let them try it out without worrying that they’ll press too hard and mess up the nib on your $500 fountain pen!I see some other reviewers stating that they’ve had leakage problems on airplanes, but I’ve not experienced any problems. I’m even one of those guys that carries pens in their pants pockets and I haven’t had any problems. If you’re just getting into the fountain pen scene, or just looking for something different, you should give these a try, I think you’ll be happy with them.
