Don't make any mistake. This is a great ink and I'm definitely using it. I like it a lot... But be forewarned that the Dark Brown is VERY DARK. It's so brown it looks black a lot of the time. A gentler touch on the right paper makes it look browner, but if you want your brown to jump out as brown, you might want something a little lighter. But again, I do like it! It just takes looking extra hard to realize that it's brown and not black. They weren't kidding around in naming it!

First, I am by no means an ink connoisseur. This ink however, was recommended by one specifically for my beginner Lamy pen. I’m so glad he offered this guidance because I couldn’t be happier with the quality and appearance of this product. I also love the dense and beautifully designed bottle (which might seem irrelevant - until you’ve used it to fill up your pen) Highly recommend! ( Note: this ink is impermanent, I use it to sketch with a pen, then blend w/ a water brush for shadows/contour)

This is my first bottle of Pilot Iroshizuku fountain pen ink. I am now a believer. I love the consistency of this ink, and the color is a perfect dark, dark brown. I love it so much I am ordering another bottle of it.

Fountain pens really makes sense and we have found that Japanese ones are that just so well-made and you can get a range from student grade which are inexpensive to collector quality pens with gold nibs. Once we started buying these pens, we had to decide and figure out what was the best ink to use. Credo now is Japanese ink for Japanese pens. This company makes premium ink. and it might seem expensive but you’re not having to buy pens over and over and over again you have the pen you just need to fill it up with ink. There are rugged everyday pens that are really great for carrying around in your pocket.

This ink appears almost black in use. I have used it in fountain pens and for dip pens and it performs flawlessly.

Yama-Guri AKA Wild Chestnut is a beautiful medium brown ink with purplish red undertones. It is a good standard go-to brown ink.

Love using this ink. The colours are beautiful and the bottle just feels so lovely. I just wish I could write something that was worthy of the ink
