After a recent bedbug scare, I invested in the SafeRest Premium Hypoallergenic Zippered Waterproof Pillow Protector. The soft cotton terry surface is comfortable and doesn't make noise when moving, which is a common issue with other protectors. The micro-zipper ensures a secure fit, keeping allergens and potential pests at bay. It's also waterproof, safeguarding against spills and sweat. A minor note: the waterproof layer can retain some heat, but it's a small trade-off for the comprehensive protection it offers. Overall, I'm sleeping easier knowing my pillows are well-protected.

My 21-year-old Dachshund dog has incontinence. I use these pillowcases to cover his bed. They are soft, keep urine off his bed, and hold up to washing.

Already sleep with it for few weeks. It is very effective in protecting dustmite. It will not have a balloon feel. I like it very much.

In terms of quality, these are good. They are arguably a bit larger than you'd expect for a typical pillow (queen-sized I guess that is) so I find that sometimes they stick out of the pillow case. But they seem to do a good job. The barrier is good enough that air doesn't even escape very well so they ensure your pillows stay puffy (for better or for worse, depending on what you like). Somehow though, and maybe because I was researching a lot of pillow cases and may have confused more than one listing, I thought you received two cases in the package for that price. So I'm a little disappointed at what I paid for them since others were cheaper and I obviously had half of what I needed but, in the end, that's my fault. Just make sure you pay attention.

I recently bought the pillow, box spring and mattress covers so that I could use an older mattress set that was more comfortable than my new one. I am VERY allergic to dust mite debris. From the first night of use, my sinuses started swelling and made breathing difficult for the first time in years, so I removed the pillow protector and put my old one on my pillow. I was not overly flattering in my first review of these products. However, a commenter suggested that I wash the products before continuing to use them. This did help immensely. So I suggest the same; if you are highly allergic to anything, it might be prudent to wash the products before putting them on your bed. My thanks to the commenter who helped me out

Bought a set (springs, mattress, pillow cover). Standard QUEEN size. Sizing perfect. Note: standard size pillow cover fits my standard size MyPillow like a glove.Install: Yes, 2 people will make easy work of this, but can be done with 1 person willing to take their time and wrangle the springs & mattress around. Note that their marketing demo video shows a young lady with the mattress cover already pre-positioned underneath a 1-piece mattress. So here's a tip for the real world, especially if you're doing this alone:For the standard QUEEN set, stand at the foot of the bed & face the headboard. For our purposes you are now facing NORTH. Unlike the video, you will want to position the closure where you can get at it easily if needed, particularly if you have some special headboard. Make the closed portion of the cover be at the SOUTH end, foot of the bed. AFTER unzipping, and it's flopping around in your hands & you got the foot into the closed portion, start the open zipper at the SOUTHEAST corner of the mattress - it'll be about 14" forward (north toward the headboard) of that corner. Then zip around to the north, past the headboard and back down to close at the SOUTHWEST corner just north of the foot of the bed, also by about 14". Actually takes longer to type than do it.Did not find it noisy, did not find that it sleeps especially warm. Likely the terrycloth top portion of the mattress cover (that you sleep on) mitigates that.Naturally prior to install you "GI'd" the room, cleaning/vacuuming/sealing etc. With that done properly, it's bug-free sleep time. Great product, worth every penny.

Better quality than hypoallergenic pillow covers bought at large retailer "W". The plastic backing in those delaminated after a year or so. These seem to be holding up better after ~6 months. The terrycloth face is very nice and comfortable on its own, though I still put them in pillowcases. These don't add extra noise, therefore I haven't noticed them while sleeping.Regarding size and laundering: the label in the pillowcase states standard size is 21x27", queen is 21x31", king is 21x37". Can be washed hot up to 95 degrees C, tumble dry low up to 55 degrees C.Not sure how effective these are at keeping bugs inside infested pillows (why not dispose of those?), but the zipper has very fine teeth and seems very tight. Zipped up all the way and it's nearly airtight.

Inexpensive and seems to do the jobDoes add to the warmth of the pillow, but no more than any other product out there in my experienceI bought this because my GF had been living in a place with Mold Issues. Her Dr told us that we could benefit from adding cases like this to our pillows because it would lock mold out and keep it on the exterior where it could be washed away in a washing machine. Without it, the mold can penetrate into the pillow and live and grow in the pillows fibers or feathers.Sounds like a tall tale, but I believe it now... it only takes having one person close to you go through something like mold poisoning to actually start to get enough education on it to see the reality of it.Anyway, worth the money and the investigation.. these are now on all our pillows and get washed a few times a month. How I rate something:When I review an item, I try to always do so in context of the product and its description. For example, if I bought a vase that said shatter proof, and then drop it on the ground and it shatters, that is bad. But if I purchased a crystal wine glass, and knocked it over on the counter and it broke, I would not say "these glasses are not very sturdy".I believe, when possible, in reviewing items based on what is available in the market. Sometimes the market simply does not have better options. So if the product is the best in its class, I think it deserves 5 stars even if you can "poke holes" in their design or materials. I want to help you pick the best item available COMPARED to all other items that fill the same user requirements.Who I am / Where I work / Why I reviewI am not affiliated with the sale of ANY product(s)I do not take employment from any company I review, in any wayI paid for the product out of pocket and I work a job in a completely unrelated field to items I purchaseI am a serial researcher by hobby (and OCD) and spend a lot of time developing my purchase choicesI recently decided to do what I could to give back to the Amazon community for all the reviews they have done that have helped me with decisions on products I have madeThis review is 100% honest and based on my personal experience with the product

I bought the SafeRest box spring and mattress encasements and pillow covers for every pillow we own as a preventive measure, as my husband travels for work to multiple cities and states every single week. He stays at numerous different hotels and recently got bitten by bedbugs at one. We made sure he didn't bring any back, but I got the encasements just in case in the future. These protectors fit my queen size pillows very tight and perfectly, so I can imagine that they would be slightly loose on a standard size. It's made of a terry-like material that's soft and silent when you roll over on it. The zipper is tiny and invisible. I put pillow cases that came with my sheet set over these, and you can't even tell that I have these on when I sleep on the pillows. If anything, the terry adds friction so that the pillow doesn't bunch up and roll around in the regular pillow case.I have not tested the waterproof-ness of these cases, as we don't eat or drink on the bed, but because the materials are like towels and they're also lined inside in a smoother, tightly-knit material, they look like they can at least absorb small amounts of liquids before it even reaches your pillow.I have noticed that my sinuses feel better when I wake up in the morning too, which is definitely a plus.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase, and would recommend these to anyone.
