Seems to fill the need. There are so many little beads! The value is there. You can make something when the beads have all been gotten! The colors are just as described, and the pad is quite durable. It's got just the right about of sticky to keep someone active but not get too frustrated. The sensory value is really person dependent. Some may not like the little holes left behind while some may love all the bits and pieces. I took off a star because I don't like the case. I was giving these to each of my kids and I ended up getting plastic Petri dishes for them. They fit perfectly and look like they came together!

Works as advertised but the little beads, once removed, make a big mess and can't be reattached thus making the item unusable.

These picking pads are perfect forbtye sensory seekers in your life. I got them for my AuDHD daughter and she passed them around during Christmas. Everyone wanted a turn picking.

This pad is so amazing, it really works to help me stop picking at the skin around my fingers, and gives me something else to fidget with. Comes with a bag, and little mesh compartment, for the pieces you pick off, which is nice. Makes it convenient to travel with

I’ve always felt like popping videos online are therapeutic; the thing that doesn’t belong is removed and the skin can start healing. So picking at my skin, hair, and nails has similarly always been an issue. This scratches the same itch. It is super helpful when I’m stressed or irritable, it helps recenter/focus on better or more productive subjects. This is my first experience with this type of picking toy so I not sure how it stacks against similar brands.The material the beads are in is mildly sticky - as in it will pick up stray hair and dust but will not stick to your hands. The texture doesn’t ick me out in the slightest. But anyone with trypophobic tendencies is not going to enjoy picking at this for too long because this doesn’t have the same elasticity as skin; these “pores” are staying open.I picked this set specifically because I wanted a carrying case so I can take it on the go and came with bags for the beads as well. Both are helpful.The set has two discs and each disc has two layers. I appreciate this because once I have completed the first layer, I peel them apart and start on the second layer. I prefer low pressure pops/squeezes, so this works best for me. If you are feeling more stressed or you would want to dig, potentially with tools, it seems that you can keep the layers together or flip it over and approach from the opposite side.I really like this, I showed it to my closer coworkers and family when I got it. I finished the last layer today and I am already itching for more! I think I’ll be ordering this set for my sister.
