*****We “shake” constantly around here as it helps a baby with colic. That being said, each pin has either already slid out or b is kinda poking out to where you get jabbed. Yes, for an occasional shake. No, for an all the time shake. To be able to use this not even a month later I have to wrap it in tape somehow***EDIT- Yes, even though this review is true in its entirety this company reached out and offered a replacement and a refund. Totally unheard of and unnecessary. As much as my little one loves the sound of a rain stick I didn’t turn down a replacement one bit. An absolute pleasure to buy from this company and will continue too in the future because of the customer service alone.

I was looking for a rainstick for my classroom and settled on this one. It makes a really nice sound but the beads fall so fast that unless you really control and go super slow with tilting it, it all falls down fast. I wish the mechanism inside would allow for a little bit more of a trickle, but it will do for a cheap addition to my classroom.

I am always a little hesitant when picking out something that is supposed to resemble or simulate natural things... but this time, I am surprised! It worked well. The sound is loud and does an excellent job of replicating the natural ones. I cannot yet comment on the longevity, but it IS plastic and seems decently made.

Our baby loves music. Wonderful sensory toy, great for motor skill development with the shaking. It is also bright and colorful. She reaches for it every day! Thank you!

I got this for my grandson who is a toddler. He liked it right away, but it fell apart and was completely unsafe for any child. Not worth the money. His mom replaced it with a plastic model and is much more suitable. I really don’t know what age this would be appropriate for, but there are better rain sticks on the market.

Cool but there are small nail heads that stick up all over it. Definitely not for young kids

The toy seems to be made well but the sound doesn’t last a long time, it’s over in about a second.
