If you know (planned) antenna's height, you can specify that here in feet above ground level

if your house is already wired,
Recommend PBD passive antenna, if very close to the broadcast towers, if your house is already wired,

  • If you live near broadcast towers, it’s possible to overamplify or boost the signal too much and worsen reception, we recommend passive antenna.
  • if your house is already wired,
  • Put B07PHMSTFF into Amazon search box for PBD passive antenna.

Recommended to be mounted 30 feet above the ground

NOTE: Cable channels are not available using the antenna, like ESPN.

  • Many antennas on the market are optimized to receive only UHF broadcasts and do not reliably receive VHF. All PBD TV antennas are precision-tuned to receive both UHF and VHF frequencies and will provide you with the most HD content.
  • Generally, the higher the antenna is above the ground, the better it performs. The amount and quality of the channels you receive will depend on the following:
  • Channels being broadcast in your area
  • Broadcast tower locations
  • Strength of the broadcast signals
  • Line of sight and environmental terrain
weather boot

To protect your house and your TV installation, your antenna system must be properly grounded.

1, Clamp a#10 copper or #8 aluminum grounding wire to the base of the antenna mast. Using stand-offs every 1.2m to 1.8m /4 to 6 feet, run the wire down the building in as straight a line as possible.

2, Attach a 300-Ohm static discharge unit (lightning arrestor) or a 75-Ohm grounding block to the antenna’s lead-in cable as close as possible to the point where the cable enters the house.

3, Attach the grounding wire to the lead-in cable’s grounding unit and run the wire to the central building ground.

Acceptable central building ground points may include:

Grounded interior metal cold water pipe within 1.5m/ 5 feet of the point where it enters the building Grounded metallic service raceway

Grounded electrical service equipment enclosure

2.4m / 8foot grounding rod driven into the ground (only if bonded to the central building ground by #6 or heavier bonding wire)

Other acceptable electrodes that comply with the sections 250 and 810 of the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Note: TV signal reception is immensely affected by the conditions such as antenna height, terrain, distance from broadcasting transmission antenna and output power of transmitter. Channels you can watch may vary depending on these conditions.

Please check the TV's manual to make sure the TV has a built-in tuner for receiving over-the-air broadcast

And if you’re looking for a cable-style TV schedule, "TitanTV" is a free Web service that lists local programming.

Please Note:

1. For flatscreen HDTVs, please check the TV's manual to make sure the TV has a built-in tuner for receiving over-the-air broadcast, and make sure this tuner can receive HD signals or else it will not be able to receive and watch HD channels.

2.Retune your TV and/or digital box from time to time to ensure you are receiving all available services. Retuning takes only a few minutes using the remote control.

3.Antenna signal strength can vary depending on distance from the tower, terrain, and weather. Reposition the antenna in a different location if needed. It is best for the antenna to be in line of sight with the TV tower(s) and avoid obstructions. Always re-scan for channels after moving the antenna.

4. If your TV has no built-in tuner, you can add an ATSC digital converter box to receive the HD signal.

Great product for the money.I replaced an attic antenna. It performed perfectly pulling in 60 channels, with an amazing picture. Our old attic antenna pulled in only 39 on a clear day.Installation was relatively easy; maybe 3 hours total.Very happy with the purchase.

Tested in an upstairs bedroom, first move to the attic and eventually exterior installation.Connected to two televisions as a test with excellent reception on both using a standard splitter installed after the rotation unit. Plan on connecting 5 televisions once in the attic and attached to my distribution board and amplifier.picked up all the channels in the market from 2 to 62 with excellent reception. rotation unit works well.antenna position indicator would be helpful.

Terrific product & support! We formerly had Cable TV w/ Internet service...in a suburban ranch-style home in southern Oregon. Thanks to this antenna, we now have cable internet and about 15 broadcast channels - with a much lower monthly cable bill (we dropped their TV service). Installation was straightforward with clear instructions, no missing parts, a complete system to do the installation, and outstanding follow-up by the vendor. They even provided a roster from "rabbitears.info" of available stations & compass settings for the best aim from our address. I mounted the antenna in our attic about 20' above grade. We are 10-20 miles from the various TV transmitters. The antenna signal feeds a Toshiba Fire TV, so we now have access to AMZ Prime & Fire TV stations via our home WiFi, the local broadcast stations, our DVD player, etc., at a much less monthly cost. Picture quality & reception is outstanding. Happy camper here!

Great antenna! I live 35 miles from the closest broadcast towers in Southern California and I'm picking up 141 channels, almost double compared to my old antenna. 2 storie home, mounted on chimney. HIGHLY recommend!

We live in a difficult reception area. In the past, usually lucky to get 2 main network channels that cut in and out with the indoor antennas with an amplifier.Hooked up this new antenna and tried it before even taking it to the attic. It's already phenomenal for us. 18 channels with 4 major channels! The reception is clear! Doesn't cut out. Curious how it'll be when we get it up higher in the attic. The supplied 40 foot cable gives you a lot of immediate flexibility. Super happy with this. Easy to assemble. Also, I had 1 tiny unimportant question and customer service was immediately responsive and verified that everything was going well.

This works well enough, but they should have added in the UHF reflectors that they tell you will help in the instructions, not sure why they didn't do that and then tell you, you need them later, this antenna has about a realistic 40-mile range of reception on VHF, Nowhere near the 200 mile range they claim, TV signals just dont make it much over 60 miles on a good day, and about 30 miles on UHF bands, so I, made my own off another old antenna and that helped the pixelating of some channels. over all for the price paid it will work pretty good if your about 30 to 40 miles from the station's towers.
