Water beads up into droplets at low speeds that are easily removed by ordinary wiping. And at higher speeds, wind pressure pushes the water off the windshield, often without even requiring wiper use. The silicone coating also reduces drag and eliminates annoying and inefficient chattering, regardless of the shape of the windshield to provide greater comfort for both driver and passenger. Silicone Wiper Refills reapply the silicone coating every time the wipers are used and fit Super Silicone, Aero Vogue and some OE wiper frames.

Replaced this in my Bosch original wiper blades. A little bit tricky to install them as grooves are not exactly the match for the location of original ones, but it worked out. Final results were excellent. Very good silicon blade material and hopefully will outlast the standard rubber ones. Highly recommended.

These wiper refills worked great initially. They were quiet and wiped the windshield clean. However, after a few months, the wipers now leave a "haze" after every wipe. The haze isn't a problem until you're met with oncoming headlights at which point you're completely blinded by the glare of the headlights shining through the haze. Upon close examination, I believe the "haze" is an extremely fine layer of microscopic water drops that the wipers, for whatever reason, are unable to remove. I believe it has something to do with the layer of silicone the wipers deposit on the glass because I did not initially have this problem before switching to PIAA silicone refills. Normally, when a wiper can't remove all the water, you get a smeared windshield and then you know it's time to replace but the layer of silicone deposited by the PIAA wipers causes the leftover moisture to form microscopic beads, which shows up as a haze. These PIAA silicone refills are advertised as lasting longer than conventional rubber wipers, so it's no good if you end up replacing these more often than rubber wipers. Googling "piaa silicone haze" reveals many other users who have experienced similar problems with PIAA wipers and haze. I will not be purchasing a second pair of PIAA silicone refills.

I purchased two of these for my Mitsubishi Raider truck in November 2012 and they are still going strong! I cannot believe how well these work compared to all the other major brands. They are more expensive initially, but since they outlast the others, I would replace others every year or two, they are actually cheaper and work much better, no streaking. When mine finally need replacing I will buy noting else.

I bought Aero blade wipers a while ago for my 2001 Audi A4. For whatever reason, my car has mismatched blades, and needs one to be 20 inches with the other 21 inches. That makes finding refills for them difficult. So I bought two of these refills in 21 inches. I removed the metal bands from the refills and trimmed one down. Then I slid both into the Aero blade wipers. It took a little work, and I even put liquid dish soap on them to help slide them in.I washed the soap off and installed the wipers back. I also scrubbed my windshield with Bar Keeper's Friend before testing. These wipers clean water off the windshield with no streaking, no noise and no stuttering.

These refills are much cheaper that needlessly replacing the stock wiper arm with the PIAA Wiper arm and blade package. Anyone that has a car that takes thin refills should really get just this refill package. My initial impressions of the blade is that it is a bit slicker than the normal rubber blades, but only time will tell if these last any longer. One hint to folks with short wipers on their rear window. PIAA doesn't make a 14" silicone blade so I got a 16 inch one and cut it down to the 14" blade length with a kitchen knife. I measured the exact length, which was a bit under 14" off of the old blade. You can save the metal "bones" from the old blade and slip them into the replacement blade or if you wish and you have a Dremel tool or or grinder, you can cut the new bones down to size.Mazda-3 hatchback owners will want to get 1 each 21", 19", 16". The latter can really be any size 21" or smaller since you need to cut it down anyway.

Some background: We originally got these PIAA silicone wiper blades for our Subaru Forester (2002 S model), and they were the ones that included the wiper blade bracket (part that holds the wiper and connects to the arm). That was almost three years ago, and the blades only recently started to be less effective. Now, when I say less effective, I mean that they were probably still better than most other wiper blades, but we've become wiper blade snobs since using these! The wiper refills fit perfectly, and since I already knew which sizes we needed it was extremely easy to order the right ones. These wipers are the BEST. They wipe away water instantly, and the silicone coating makes water bead off the windshield when going over 25mph. They also hold up to frozen and winter conditions much better than regular blades. We've never had an issue the snow or ice with them. And c'mon, our old ones lasted THREE YEARS!We will always buy these blades and recommend them to everyone we can.

I was driving to Florida from NJ and at 5:30AM during a downpour, 1 of my 30 day old name brand wipers began to break apart. Black streaks began to form at both ends of the wipe stroke and the wiping edge was beginning to wear down. The pouring rain continued until about 7AM, and it didn't disintigrate to the point where there was no rubber left, but it wasn't a fun 90 minutes. During this 1.5 hour period, I made up my mind to do research and find the best wiper out there and buy it regardless of cost. I bought these for my accord (different size) and now am buying for my odyssey. It was raining the other day and I was showing these blades off to my brother. No noise, clean wipe and that's after 6 months. Then it stopped raining, and I got to show off how they continued to make no noise while the few remaining drops still coming down were wiped clean without any streaks. These are the ones to buy.
