About this item

  • Revolutionary beading action, Activated silicon-coating action
  • Highest quality silicone rubber compound
  • Resistant to all climates for extended life
  • PIAA silicone refills are for PIAA Super Silicone wiper blades only.
  • In order to fit other OE and manufacturers wiper blade frames, your blades need to have a square type claw and stop as shown in secondary image.
  • Rubber claw width is 6mm for sizes 12inches up to 22inches and 8mm for sizes 24inches up to 28inches
  • Refills designed to fit Super Silicone, Aero Vogue, and some OE wiper frames
  • Fit type: Universal Fit

PIAA Silicone Wiper Refills ensure greater visibility by coating the windshield with silicone to promote continuous water beading in inclement weather. Water beads up into droplets at low speeds that are easily removed by ordinary wiping. And at higher speeds, wind pressure pushes the water off the windshield, often without even requiring wiper use. The silicone coating also reduces drag and eliminates annoying and inefficient chattering, regardless of the shape of the windshield to provide greater comfort for both driver and passenger. Silicone Wiper Refills reapply the silicone coating every time the wipers are used and fit Super Silicone, Aero Vogue and some OE wiper frames.

As described this is a cheaper way to refill your 16" super silicone. I had never used one of their refills before because frankly I didn't know they existed. Now that I do I'm even more invested in the brand.

Using them all year long.I live in Montréal, and during the winter we have very cold temperatures. They do not crack. (if you're not dumb enough to use them when you have leafs on your windshield at automn, of thick ice during winter)

Despite what the description said, it fit perfectly in the frame of a non-PIAA wiper. I guess it may not fit all but the design of the refill is basically identical to wiper blades (the rubber part of it). Works well and comes with a little windshield treatment wipe but is a bit expensive for what it is as I'm not sure that it lasts any longer than other decent quality wiper blades. I'm happy that at least now I don't have to toss out a perfectly good wiper frame just because the rubber blade is worn out

I purchased these refills to replace the oem wipers on a 2010 Subaru Impreza. When I was researching options for replacements, I read in other reviews that people had to re-use the metal strips from their original wipers because the new ones didn't fit. I will confirm that these refills will fit the oem wiper assemply on the 08-11 Impreza's and 08-14 WRX/STi's without any modification.I've had these installed for a few weeks and so far they're working great; no chattering or streaking. I highly recommend buying these refills if you're wiper assemblies are still in tact. Reduces waste from working wipers being discarded and potentially cheaper than buying a brand new wiper assembly.

It said it fits a Acura rdx but it was in lot smaller. I changed the metal on the side, but it made noises when in uses.

PIAA Silicone Wipers are the only wipers I use now. As long as you know how to use them properly, they are awesome. Here is how they work: Every time you use your wipers, it will deposit a little bit of silicone in any little cracks or pits in your windshield. You cannot usually see all the little cracks and dents in your windshield but they are there, all over the place. Then the water gets on your windshield and beads up because it doesn't like the silicone. It doesn't smear all over the place like it used to. I don't use my wipers as much or as often compared to regular wiper blades. Also, the blades can recondition an old pitted windshield by filling in pits with silicone. These wiper blades take a little bit of work for them to function correctly.HOW TO GET THEM TO WORK:- Purchase the regular wiper blades first, not the refills.- Follow the installation instructions. Most important is a clean windshield and run them dry for five minutes.- Keep your windshield and wiper blades clean. These blades are designed for water, not all the bugs that you hit. You will have to clean the bugs and their mess off the windshield yourself. Wiper fluid made for bugs helps, but not a whole lot. Dirt and grime may build up on the wiper blades too so check the blades them selves. Usually I'll just need to rub my finger, or the windshield cleaning tool at the gas station along the edge of the wiper blade that is usually in contact with the windshield.

Decided to replace on OEM rubber insert for my Corolla 2010 with these insert, a 16 inch and 26 inch. Upon getting this and inspecting them with the old one I have on my wiper blade, the old rubber seems to be wider. I decided to put them anyway and test it, hosed down my windshield while my wiper is running, so it got the old rubber and new silicon, oh boy, what a difference, it works fine. But I could have wish the base part of the insert could have wider just like the one its replacing. My first thought of it not being wide is not secure and wiggle while on the blade. But alas, it works (for now while writing this review). I will never going back to rubber insert wiper. Decided to keep the metal frame of the old insert then throw the old rubber.Edit: It finally rains and I saw uneven wipes, especially the bigger blade, the 26 inch, mostly on the tips, both tips. Anyways, I carefully remove it and figured out new metal frame that came with the product is bendy or not sturdy enough to get the arch-ish support to have good even wipes. So... I kept the old metal frame from the old rubber insert, put it onto the new silicon insert. Had a hard time putting it on, mostly because its wider frame than the one that it came with the silicon insert. It still raining and test it out, all good, keep your old metal frame and put it on to the new silicon insert.

Bought this as a refill for my rear wiper. It was a bit difficult to make work but cleans the rear window much better than the junky blade I had before.

This is for the passenger side blade insert refill. Remove the old one by pulling out from the bottom side (using a pointy plier). Insert new wiper blade thru the bottom side, and thread thru each square brackets. The 6mm wide refill fits perfectly in all dimensions. After a couple of swishes, the windshield is completely free of water, no streaks, no squeals, no smudges. Completely silent. I am glad I bought it.At the same time, I got the 95065 (26") for the driver side. The 8mm-width on that one is perfect too. Same awesome quality and operation as the passenger side. Same easy installation.Great initial reaction. I expect this to last. My other car also uses the same PIAA insert and I couldn't be happier with them too.

These refills are much cheaper that needlessly replacing the stock wiper arm with the PIAA Wiper arm and blade package. Anyone that has a car that takes thin refills should really get just this refill package. My initial impressions of the blade is that it is a bit slicker than the normal rubber blades, but only time will tell if these last any longer. One hint to folks with short wipers on their rear window. PIAA doesn't make a 14" silicone blade so I got a 16 inch one and cut it down to the 14" blade length with a kitchen knife. I measured the exact length, which was a bit under 14" off of the old blade. You can save the metal "bones" from the old blade and slip them into the replacement blade or if you wish and you have a Dremel tool or or grinder, you can cut the new bones down to size.Mazda-3 hatchback owners will want to get 1 each 21", 19", 16". The latter can really be any size 21" or smaller since you need to cut it down anyway.

I prefer a silicone wiper over a rubber one, so I thought I had a bargain with these refills. I still had the factory blades on a 2008 Odyssey. The OEM blade had curved metal inserts and the replacement blades were straight, but I was able swap out the metal strips pretty easily. When I put them back on one the wipers was noisy, probably due to my custom work! The fit seemed a bit loose also. I ended up finding some different blades on sale and replaced the front wiper blades. The rear wiper worked fine, most likely because it was on a flat window. It wasn't a total loss since I did end up with a silicone wiper for the rear.
