Perfect planter for Venus Fly Trap plants. Water is wicked from the outer glass container which is easy to keep clean and stays looking nice. The pot is a little on the pricey side but absolutely worth the cost. Highly recommend for plants that can't be directly watered and need to stay moist.

It doesn’t hold much water but it works well and is a nice style imo.

It seems like a really nice pot, but it's not as pictured. There's no divot for adding water without lifting the entire inner pot out of the outer water pot. Not the most convenient.

Update after 3rd purchase:I cannot say enough good things about these beautiful planters. I mentioned in original review that they are really great for those plants that have more difficult-to-gauge water requirements. If watering is the reason you’re losing plants, try one of these. This method of watering is not a new concept, but not all are as pretty as these are. I may eventually end up replacement all of my pots with these.Original review:These planters are beautiful and well made. It’s easy to see the water line and refill when necessary. They are great for plants that should not dry out between waterings. Fits in with any decor. I purchased a 4” and 6”, and I’m very pleased with both.

Beautiful, unique planter! Solid planter, well packaged, and the directions for setting up are super easy. This planter takes the guesswork out of watering and the large size is perfect for accommodating the root growth of my baby plant. I think this planter is well worth the money and the simple, gorgeous design makes it a versatile addition to any home decor theme you may have. I love it!!!

I bought lots of pots I mean a lot!!!! I had one of those that has water level indicator.I bought cheaper options and trust me I threw most of it away.If you are looking for self watering pots with water level indicator more expensive but buy Lechuza product! But this pots are so much prettier and you can check the water levels. The terracotta pots will absorb when it’s dry!! Only down side is the glass pots are breakable I mean they will break if you put the terra pots too hard or drop. And during summer green algae will form on terra pots but they can be easily cleaned with vinegar and water.

I’ve been growing herbs in these pots in my kitchen window. I’ve never had luck keeping them alive before until now. They’re very handsome and a great value. It makes growing delicate plants very easy. The different size options are very helpful.

The product is excellent quality but similar to others people’s experience has arrived with a chip off the larger glass outer pot. It is not inside the box or packing materials (which are really generous and of high quality) so I can only assume that it was packed damaged.

A decent self-watering pot. But there are a few things you should be aware of.If you keep the water level high, you will likely actually overwater your plant. At least my pot is that way, I'm sure each pot varies a bit in how porous it is. My soil is visibly damp for days after topping off the water, so root rot may very well be an issue if you aren't careful. But it probably fluctuates by season, right now it's winter and between my aquarium and this pot the humidity in my room is somewhat high and thus the soil probably doesn't dry out quickly as it might for you, your mileage will vary as they say. The other reviewers claiming that water does not feed into the pot well are probably mistaken, they likely don't consider the fact that an empty pot will have the water evaporate quickly and thus appear to barely have any water enter the pot. But in reality, once you add soil there's less surface area for the water to evaporate from which can make a big difference.Another issue, as many have noted, is mold on the upper rim. I thought if I soaked the pot in soapy water for a day before using the pot that it might prevent mold. It didn't. And now that I think about it, I don't think any amount of cleaning can prevent the mold. The issue I believe is that fertilizer and nutrients in the soil get wicked up to the rim, much like how water seeps into the soil but in reverse. So, perhaps the only cheap solution is to use clay pot or acrylic sealer on the rim so mold spores cannot get to the rim and have space to grow in the first place. I recommend fully sealing the upper rim with multiple layers of sealant regardless of how confident you are that you can clean it and prevent mold just from cleaning. Because chances are cleaning just won't be enough. And cleaning after mold has already started growing often just spreads the mold spores so it comes back promptly anyhow. And the final issue, also mentioned by others, is that the pot does not sit too well in the glass container. I'm considering 3D printing myself some sort of adapter so it will fit in snuggly and not be able to easily shift around.

I would love to give 5 stars but it gets very mouldy inside and outside the container…I got those thinking I would save time just filling it but didn’t expect I would have to clean the container all the time, which doesn’t save me any time at the end.Other than that, it’s great.
