Love it's sleek design and honestly it's the cleanest water I've ever had. I will say this is better suited for an office than a home.

Doing a great job with my disgusting city water. I would have given it 5 if there was less plastic. Ironic in an RO machine I bought to get rid of plastic nano-particles. Working well so far.

The Philips RO water filter is very easy and intuitive to use. It's actually kind of attractive in my kitchen too. But most importantly, it produces great tasting water. The water in my area often comes out my tap brown, and is supposedly safe to drink, but I don't trust it. After researching different filter systems, I chose the Philips because I trust the brand. The one thing that gave me pause are some of the controversies surrounding RO water, but I find the criticisms of it not terribly convincing. The one downside I found is that RO water tastes a bit flat because of the lack of minerals. But then I read an article somewhere that suggested using a tiny pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt to remineralize the water and help the taste. Pink salt has more minerals than white salt, and this really changed everything. The trick is to use just the tiniest fraction of a pinch of pink salt in each bottle, otherwise it tastes like salt water. If you find the right fraction of a pinch, you don't taste the salt at all, but the water no longer tastes flat and has a wonderful clean and refreshing taste. I love knowing that I'm no longer drinking heavy metals and microplastics. Plus I'm eliminated the use of plastic water bottles, which we should all be doing!

Water in building is awful and this makes it taste like bottled water. Easy to use, nice looking and fits easily on the counter of my small kitchen. Bought one for someone as an xmas gift who uses Britta.

I've been using this filter for three months straight and it continues to generate the best tasting water I've ever had. You do really need to know what you're getting into with it and understand the trade off's associated with this level of water filtration. This counter-top filter is very large, needs to be plugged into 110v outlet and you'll need to keep refilling the water reservoir. It's not as easy as the fridge filter or as convenient as a brita in the fridge. It runs quiet enough, but does take a little while to fill the whole included glass bottle. In addition, every time I refill the water reservoir, some of the filtered calcium and whatnot is back into the water at the bottom. It needs to be cleaned regularly. The other thing to consider is the setup time. The initial filter process is 20-30 minutes of running water through the system until it tells you that it's ready. If you want extremely well filtered water, this is the price to pay to prime and ready the reverse osmosis filter that is included.Philips says the filter will last a year and I hope it does, replacements are not cheap. After three months of heavy use, I'm still going strong.I will say, it does look good sitting on my wet bar countertop and doesn't look at all out of place.

So far so good. One disadvantage is that the instructions are written in very small type with spaces in between. So, the makers of this item could have had larger-sized font.Do not panic if when you first operate it, you get a red light. The instructions say that you should pour out the remaining water. I missed that the first time I operated it and thought it told me I needed a new battery on day one. Also, the battery is too expensive at $74. I hope Philips drop the price of the battery before I need one a year from now. I bought 2 extra glass bottles and that was a good idea.
