The harness has a wide range of adjustability, allowing it to grow with your child, adapting the harness to their size. For small children, it’s possible to add BODY shoulder straps, converting it into a full-body harness. With padded waistbelt and leg loops, it is very comfortable when hanging. The waistbelt buckles allow you to properly position the tie-in points, and the attachment loop is a different color, for rapid visual inspection of the connection point to the belay system. It also has two gear loops and an accessory loop for a chalk bag, to be just like the grown-ups.

We purchased this for an 8 year old who is just getting into indoor rock climbing. The harness is well made and easy to put on and take off. It was easy to adjust based on the child and hook on to the carabiner. We were very comfortable trusting the child’s safety to this harness.

Our kids are into climbing and we tried a few different harness options. Overall this was always the best, and we ended up ordering two more after the first. The fit and comfort is great, the functionality and adjustability is good and it seems to be high quality!

This is a child's harness made by a leader in mountaineering safety. It has two points of adjustment for the belt portion, which are simple enough to use, even for a squirming child. The clip-in point is obvious and works well with any locking biner (recommended requirement for anyone). Good price; good piece of equipment. My grandson loves it.

No specific dislikes of this harness. Purchased as a replacement for a body harness for a growing 4 year old. Should be noted that Petzl does sell a BODY shoulder harness to use for top roping, but my child has figured out how to stay upright when hanging from a tope rope. As it is a piece of safety equipment, it is as robust as a standard adult harness (though manufacturer only rates to 40kg). Adjustment is easy, especially with the dual buckles on the waist component (similar to Corax; a frustration I've had on adult BD harnesses). Should grow nicely when the kiddo. Decent size gear loops, but would like to have a gear loop in the rear. Would also like to see a haul loop (the manufacturer says there is an accessory loop in the back but this is where the buckle for the detachable elastic leg loops connect to the harness). I've had some partners that have sewn in their own cord to the back of a lighter weght harness to have a rear gear loop and if the kiddo needs this, I'll consider doing the same. Overall, seems to be the best kids harness out there and excellent for the price.

Well I read a ton of reviews for many different harnesses, literally like 3 days worth. I kept coming back to this one. She turned 3 on July 1, 2022 and she weighs 32. It was big and we adjusted as much as we could, but it still worked. There were 4 adults to watch her. She will grow into it. She loved the color, as purple is her favorite and for her1st time, she had a blast. Picked it up in no time. I must say that she is a natural born athlete, like her parents...she skis, rides a dirt bike, snowmobile, jui-jitsu and has no fear! She will be using this harness for a long time to come. I felt that it was super sturdy and so did her Mom, as she is a climber :) I would recommend this Harness.

We have two small climbers in our family. Our 7 year old uses this harness and our 5 year old wears the Black Diamond equivalent. Both are excellent products but as the adult, I find Petzl’s design far easier to to adjust at the waist and the leg loops. Sturdiness was never a concern when purchasing a Petzl product, but we’ve still never seen a stitch out of place on this harness. She finds it comfortable, attractive and easy to get in and out of. Highly recommended!UPDATE: (almost 2 years later)My daughter is now turning 9. She's just shy of 60lbs (27kg) and about 4'4" (132cm). Perhaps these measurements will help some prospective buyers. I should note that she uses this harness 3-4 times a week in team practices and it's still going strong!
