TLDR: I highly recommend this product to new pet parents as a first treat pouch because it is one of the most comfortable pouches to wear regularly which means it will be easier to break into a training session or reward good behavior at a moments noticeIf you want something even more low profile go for the mini version of the pouch, smaller and cheaper, same great pouchI first used this brand of treat pouch at a service dog org I interned at several years ago and since then it has been one of my favorites, I have purchased several both for myself and friends/family who get dogs.Things I love about it:-Low profile, many other treat bags are bulky and just begging to be overfilled. This is very important, because it means that it is more comfortable to wear more often, so you will be more likely to have treats on you when your dog or puppy does something treat worthy.-Strong hinge that stays open but is easy to close whenever wandering noses sniff out treats A pouch that stays open is important to me because it speeds up rewards when my pup is on a roll-Small separation for jackpot treats ( I think this is a better idea than execution, but I still consider it a pro)Cons, or reasons this pouch may not be for you:-It can be a bit of a pain to clean if you use treats with higher moisture, for instance I use a lot of deli meat and hot dogs. I'll plan on switching to a silicone pouch for these treats and using this pouch for freeze dried treats and other pre made treats and kibble-Sometimes treats and bits of treats get caught in the fabric lining, compounding the first con-It can be difficult to open the hinge if you have mobility issues or if it's clipped to a pocket instead of secured to the included beltI really like that this pouch doesn't try to be everything to everyone, If you want one treat pouch to do it all, carry treats, toys, wet treats, dry treats, poop bags, and more, then look elsewhere. This is purpose built, and can work very well in conjunction with other products that can fill other needs. If I go out for a training session that will use a variety of treats and toys this would not be the only treat bag a bring, but it would certainly be one of them.

I train guide dog puppies and this is the BEST treat pouch I have ever had. It is strong and sturdy, holds open well and fits lots of treats in it (plus front pocket fits my iPhone well) and it has good belt and clip for lead. I also don't get greasy stains on my clothes from wearing this treat pouch (like you can with other lower quality ones). It holds two cups of kibble easily, so I would recommend the smaller size if you don't need to carry as much as that. This larger one can also hold a toy for my pups, so I just love it (plus it is a slim design and dark, so I don't look like a complete dag when I am wearing it. I read the other reviews and thought the quality of this product might be questionable, but it most certainly is not. As I said it is the best training/treat pouch I have used (and I have used a lot). I have only been impressed and would recommend to anyone

durable fabric, hinge opening stay open and the opening big enough for man hands, convenient inside pockets closed with velcro, the belt clip and belt can be used in combination for a more sturdy setup .

I first bought the usual (cheaper) treat bag that have a drawstring opening -- quickly found those to be unpractical as the treats would fall out if I bend over, and if I keep it closed I cannot access the treats quickly when needed. This treat bag is easy to open and close, and its flat shape somehow "holds" the treats in it so they do not fall out as easily. Definitely looks less bulky. The treat compartment has a divider which is very useful as I can store low and high value treats in a single bag. The back clip is very sturdy and should stand to good use but personally I have been carrying the pouch using the long straps across my shoulder so that the bag is positioned more behind me than on my side -- a personal preference. All-in-all, a great treat bag for having it with you at all times, very sturdy material, definitely worth the price tag!

I've got a couple of the little drawstring treat bags but it's sometimes difficult to get the treats out quickly, and they fall out if I leave the top open. This treat bag is ideal as the hinges allow it to be opened quickly and to stay open. It's well-made and sturdy and the other small pocket is useful for poo bags. It is really worth spending the few extra pounds on this - anything that helps me train my dog to come when he's called is well worth it!

Last year, I purchased a bag-style treat bag with cinch string and while that worked well, I didn't realize how much better this one until I tried it out. Since misplacing the bag, I was very content to use my jacket pockets which were large enough to easily and quickly get treats. Now that the weather is warmer though, I found I needed something better than my shirt or pants pocket. And while I thought this treat pouch was on the expensive side (at least in my mind), I'm really glad I got it. It makes dispensing treats so much easier. For the rest of the review, I'll do a series of question and answers. What was wrong with the pants or shirt pocket? Most of my pants pockets, while large on the inside, don't allow the kind of quick treat retrieval needed for extensive training. It became difficult to grab a treat especially if there was something else in the pocket. As for the shirt pocket, let's just say that any time I leaned down Nova got a "jackpot" treat. If you liked the old bag-style, why not get another one?It was fine, but the main reason I got it was because it was cheap (I think maybe $5). I couldn't find it again for the same price and this one got tons of good reviews, so I gave it a try. One thing I didn't like about the bag style is that it didn't close very fast or easily and so sometimes treats would fall out if I bent over to pick up a ball or something. Why is this product awesome?Almost everything about this product seems well thought out not just for treats, but as a small "go" bag for a quick trip with your dog. it's got plenty of space for treats (even two compartments) and a few other spots for a phone, poop bags, keys, and whatever else you might need except a water bottle (and that would just be too bulky). What would you change about this product? The only thing I sometimes struggle with is the divider for the "yummy" and "yummier" treats. It's velcro which is fine but can be a bit cumbersome if you're trying to switch between both frequently. But this feature was a bonus that I didn't realize how nice it would be anyways, so it's not a big deal. I've found it particularly useful for training outside, I can have a brightly colored treat like for tossing on the ground and regular dark colored treats for when I give them by hand.Would you buy this product again?Absolutely. The wide opening that stays open when you need treats and stays closed to prevent falling treats works perfectly. Everything else is a bonus.
