My senior cat sleeps snuggled up to the kitty. Only thing I'm not happy with is the purring; it's too loud. If it were a soft purr he would love it. So we don't use the purring noise. But it's a great idea. Maybe there could be a number setting for loudness in a future update. That would be purrrrfect.

Didn’t get to try it, screws stripped and not useful.

Received in excellant condition. Very beautifully made, excellant quality. Made to last. Comes exactly as pictured and described. Heat pack is very well made. My only complaint is that the heart battery pack has 1 striped screw out of 3. The striped screw has been removed. Sound is great, there is a choice of snoring or heartbeat. Well worth the price. Thank Amazon

The heartbeat is a little weird but the purring isn't bad but if I wanted to take it out it's easy and not attached to anything. I love that the whole thing is machine washable once you take out the heating pad and sound machine. My cat loves it and is always playing and cuddling with it! She found it really weird at first and stayed away from it the first few days but then I found her cuddling up to it for warmth one night and she looked so comfy and happy. :) Pretty good for the price! It's slightly bigger than her and I think she likes that but overall pretty much the same size. She grooms it sometimes and it's so cute so it's pretty durable considering she licks and bites it while playing sometimes. She's a happy kitty :)

I don't know if I just got a dud, or what, but the battery life on this is beyond terrible. I've had it for almost 2.5 days (60 hours) and already had to install my 4th set of batteries. I will admit that the first set was rechargeables that may not have been at 100% charge, and I understand that some products don't work well with rechargeables, but I switched to brand new alkalines after that, which didn't last noticably longer than the rechargeables.I'm fostering a few week old orphaned kittens, so ideally this is running basically 24/7. Changing the batteries on this thing more than once per day is completely unreasonable. When the batteries are low, but not dead, it seems to do 2 things: 1) the selected sound shuts off early. 2) the sound gets.. weird. There's an awkward higher pitched sound as the recording starts over, and the recording is only about a second long, so you get to heaf it basically non stop. The kittens... they're currently 7 days old with no mom, and they don't seem upset by it, but they're also choosing to cuddle up with each other and never with it.

Nice concept. Seems pretty durable. My cat at least kinda likes it. The battery pack almost requires lock-pic tools to get it open though. Someone suggested throwing away the screw once it is out far enough to open because it is not necessary. BUT! They have wrapped it in a plastic sleeve so it can't be fully removed. Now it just sticks out part way. Once stuffed inside the toy it should be safe enough. The sound quality is not very good, It's just a few seconds of an actual recording stuck on loop. That's fine, but when the loop restarts every 3-4 seconds it makes a weird clicking sound that does not sound like a healthy cat. I was able to muffle the volume by playing around with the placement of the heat pack and "heart" pack inside the kitty toy. Uses up batteries pretty quickly. The heat pack seems to work fine as long as you heat it SLOWLY! My kitty is learning to like it with just the heat pack. In general this requires a good deal of tweaking for the money. Try it if you are desperate (I was), but I wouldn't buy it on a whim. Oh, and the Velcro is very tough and noisy to open. Your cat may shred everything else, but that Velcro isn't going anywhere, LOL!

In the difficult final days with my sick cat, I was looking for something to bring her comfort and came across this HuggieKitty. As she lost weight and became more sick, she became more susceptible to feeling cold and because she couldn't cuddle with her brothers as she normally would, this companion kept her warm and provided the comfort she needed. The simulated purring and heartbeat sound worked like magic, soothing her and helping her fall asleep. This was really helpful during a difficult time ❤

Update! I took a chance and got a replacement. Found out that the original one I was sent was someone else’s reject. My replacement was brand new, in a sealed box. I thought I would have a problem with the battery pack again but was finally able to open it. Loaded it up with the battery box and the heat pack. My cat was curious about his new companion. But he thought the kitty that was purring was under the HuggieKitty and was trying to find it by digging underneath the kitty. Finally he settled down and perched himself next to HuggieKitty, both of them purring away. I think this item is a great idea with poor execution. It is not odor free. The heat pack reeks! The material used for the body is cheaply made. The battery box is poorly designed with that weird screw you don’t actually need. The recording of the purr is fine but the heartbeat is a mass of static. It is cute, though, and my cat has shown some interest in it. Looks good in the cat bed that my real cat refuses to sleep in. So i guess I’ll keep it and see how it goes.I was excited to get this for my cat. But right out of the box it was broken. Couldn’t get the screw out of the battery box so I could open it and add batteries. It just spins in place. Sending it back.
