The weather here has been getting cold. For almost 2 weeks it was in the single digits and below 20. My Husky and German Shephard mix he loves cold weather. But I thought he needed to stay warm sometimes. So I ordered this and it's big a good size for him. Sonny weight is around 105lbs. He can lay on it good he gets in his dog house and puts his face looking out the front. So if you have a big dog you would be very pleased with this purchase. You would have a Happy Fur Baby as well. Well worth the money. They are a lot more every where else I checked the prices Amazon has the best prices for these blankets and you have your remote to set it where you want it.

This item did not heat very well even on highest setting! Was only used during January, February and December here in the south. So technically it only lasted 4 months from January 2024 date of purchase. Stopped working February 2025! Was stored during 9 months out of year! Needs to have a 2 year warranty for its price!

My husky prefers to be outside all winter, but he does appreciate the warmth this mat provides. We placed it under his bed in a dry area outside and it works great.

This heating pad is exactly as described and very good quality ( so far-we have only had it a week). It has 9 heat settings but since our puppy is in doors 2 is high enough for her, 1 during the day. I have a faux fur pad on top and and it seems to radiate perfectly for her.She has peed on the pee-pad I placed on top and a bit went through to the heating pad. It dabbed off w a paper towel with minimal effort.I ordered the medium which is for a much bigger dog since she is now only 3 pounds (a bottle baby rescue).Since she is a Great Pyrenees she will only get bigger and this pad will be perfect for her until she decides she rather sleep in the snow! I highly recommend this product.Update: 4 months later and it is still great. In fact I purchased a second one for my elderly kitty. She never gets off it! I particularly like the control system. I don't have to guess the degrees that will be comfortable like other pads. This one has numbered settings to choose which one you prefer. It gets quite warm and would be excellent for basement or porches. Since mine is in the living room I am using the lowest setting for now and anticipate that winter we will probably be fine at setting 2-3. You also can choose how many hours to have it on which is a great feature.

I bought the 18x18 when it was overstocked for $15 and for that price it's worth it. The quality of the mat far surpasses the big name brand heated beds, the edges are reinforced, the material is more durable, the cord is actually protected by more than a wire wrap. The controller seems nice but chintzy and will inevitably fail, and there's no need for the range of heat settings, although the timer is convenient. However it's obvious the internals are meant for a human heat pad because it gets ridiculously hot, far too hot for outside animals who need to acclimate to the cold or die. The default setting is only about halfway when plugged in and it's too hot for me as a heat pad. I have to turn it down to 2-3 for my inside cats and is probably equivalent to the more expensive brand which has no controller and maintains 40w.The upside is I can use it as a human heat pad for my back so it's hard to complain about a heat pad getting to hot. Just be very cautious if outside cats are using this. We'll see if it lasts through the winter.

My oldest dog loves to get warm and cozy. When I get up from the couch, he often steals my spot since it's been pre-warmed, but he *always* steals my spot when there's a heating pad he can snuggle up with. When I found this bed, I knew he'd love it! The other dogs also seem to love curling up on the nice, warm bed, so I might have to think about getting a couple more.I like that this bed has multiple heat settings, so I can pick the temperature that'll be most comfortable depending on how warm the house is. The timer setting is another reason I went with this one. Most of the other heated beds I found only had on/off switches. I love that I can turn the heat on for a set amount of time and not have to remember to turn it off.The fabric on this bed isn't very soft or cozy, but it seems pretty easy to clean, which is a plus. I might make a cover for it, but it's not totally necessary, my dogs are just spoiled. They love plush blankets and soft beds, and they all seemed pretty uninterested in this bed when I first set it up. I put it on top of one of their favorite dog beds, so it wasn't just on the floor or anything. Once they realized it was heated, they got past whatever their hangups were. They take turns curling up on this one once I turn on the heat setting.

I have a senior dog that loves to be outside with us but struggles when the temperature starts to drop. We have fires in our yard year round so when the evenings start to cool off, I put this on low under his blanket and tuck him in and he stay warm and cozy until we are ready to go inside.Highly recommend this product :)
