Place one end of the tape measure tightly against the groove on the LEFT edge of the window and keep it level.
STEP 2
Pull towards the groove on the RIGHT edge and read the value.

The fit in my window is fair. The big problem is the flap on cat door doesn’t swing freely. The cat cannot push it open.

What a great alternative to cutting a hole in the door. This is easy for the cats to use but I do need to check it every now and again. The lock can get bumped and prevent the door from opening both ways. It lets cats out but not in. Highly recommend.

This is a really well designed and crafted piece of equipment. It is made of quality materials and the adjustable panel allows for a snug fit. Once installed, it is almost impossible to tell where the window begins and the cat door begins. It came with weather stripping and window sealer. Love this and so happy with the result.

I had to get a larger window as one of my cats is 22lbs. This window was easy to adjust and install. Took about 5 minutes and that included the foam weather stripping. My only problem is, the cats are having a hard time opening. The magnet is SUPER strong! That's a good thing for not letting cold air in, but it's very hard for them. Fat cat paws a lot and then gives up. At least he's burning calories right?

It's a little tricky to unlock and expand the panels with one while stabilizing it with the other but overall it was easy to install and it fits well with a good seal. The magnets that keep the door shut were too strong for my cats and I had to remove part of one which required me to break some plastic. It didn't compromise the integrity of the door but it was a hassle. It would be better if the magnets were adjustable.
